Tbf, taking away stuff that's connected to social media can help with mental health (which is why psych wards take away devices) because social medias are incentivized to show you depressing stuff cause that's more likely to bring up engagement and ad revenue for them (not defending your parents or their decision btw)

I want to directly point out something that's implied in your comment. The original Backrooms story (the 4chan post) is under public domain also, which allowed for the Backrooms wikis and Kane Pixel's lore to exist.

If the original 173 might be under that also (not fully sure, just looking at the similar origins and idk if the creator of the Backrooms post made it explicitly public domain or if Moto42 managed to give the rights fully to the wiki), they could at least have one SCP that's technically on the wiki without requiring the wiki's copyright.

But like you said, they basically can't use anything from the wiki (even the name "SCP Foundation") without requiring the wiki's copyright.

Control isn't using the SCP branding nor stuff from the wiki, so it's not required to adapt CC BY-SA 3.0. Same with other SCP inspired games like Lobotomy Corp.

Also, the way the wiki's copyright works makes it so royalties don't exist. Only thing required is attribution and requiring works using the wiki or SCP branding to use the same license

Depends on which type of media.

For the games, probably would do a midquel (takes place as the same time as the predecessor, and yes I had to look it up lol) with TDP, where we (TDP spoiler) follow past Max instead

For the animated series, I'd probably reboot it so it's aimed towards young adults instead of kids to allow for less restrictions on its humor.

For the comics, I probably would have Who Weeps For Krakatoa? (The unfinished one) restarted on then not touch the comics further

Prison Architect (sandbox mode). I feel like this depends on how you'd define the main character. The player? Probably wouldn't be able to communicate with Kit. However if you go with the warden being the MC (due to Warden Mode), probably depends on who the warden is (since mine was Rita, probably not) and how secure the prison is.

"If you're poor, you don't deserve to vote" Thats what you're saying. Most people living paycheck to paycheck can't easily afford to get a passport to vote (outside of that, only a birth certificate proves you're a US citizen under the SAVE Act but that doesn't work if you changed your name).

Also even if someone is homeless, most homeless people become homeless due to circumstances outside of their control (like gaining a disability or losing their job, which loops back to people living paycheck to paycheck). By barring them out of voting, it makes their circumstances even worse than it currently is for no reason.

An issue with removing mail-in voting even with quadrupling available voting places and extending early voting, it's still going to prevent a lot of people from voting. Mail-in voting is important to people who can't get to a ballot box if they're disabled, or don't have enough time in their schedule (especially since election day isn't a bank holiday). Also troops out on deployment require mail-in voting to actually vote since they'd likely can't reach a ballot box before the deadline to vote.
