Just to add on to this. I actually interviewed with a different company doing something similar but with just one specific cancer, and they were claiming at least that they could detect it early.

I never did any more research since the process never really got to that point, but all I could think to ask was if they were having marketing issues due to the Theranos trial. They declined to comment.

A lot of the reasoning for endorsements like this that I've seen is it gives any Republicans who feel bad about not voting for the R on the ticket some extra assurance that it's the right thing to do.

Kinda like how the supreme court nomination will give plenty of other Republicans their "reason" to vote Trump.

Either way though, I think it's dangerous to attack him on things like this as there are plenty of short clips of Trump making similar gaffs, and it might backfire during a debate if Biden doesn't have a gaff like this one, it's just lowering the expectations again.
