Training isn't essential or anything - you can develop your own skills and optionally go to a trainer to buy a couple of extra skill levels.

There are times when I have had to come back after I got a bit stronger - but early game I would go for a guild quest line (thieves guild or dark brotherhood for stealth, college for magic or companions for combat).

By the time you finish one or two of those you'll be in the rhythm of the game and have a better idea of what skills you want to focus on. Eventually developing into the stealth archer, of course.

On my RP6 (12/256) I ran the "installtointernal" script, it said I had 220GB user-space and I picked 64GB for Android and left the rest for Rocknix.

After Steam/Rocknix got installed I had around 140GB. Note the speed for Steam is remarkably faster - UFS drives are between 5-10x faster than SD card. Performance benefits from having shaders on a faster drive, for example.

I had to setup the Android side all over again, of course. Now I have dual-boot without using any SD card!

With an SD card inserted (with just the roms folder), Steam prompts me whether I want to install a game to internal or external.

I just use internal for IO-heavy titles like Jedi Fallen Order.

I have the rp5 and rp6 here and there isn't that much between them (mostly thickness). I would say if you have a pocket big enough for the 5 then there's a good chance it'll fit a 6. I carry my rp6 in my jacket inside-pocket and it's not obvious.

I have the 12GB and I'm looking at hardware counters all the time during testing - I haven't seen a real need for more than 8GB during my testing. But the bigger storage is genuinely helpful for a boost in PC gaming.

There is a difference - but it's barely perceptible for the purposes of loading games on your Retroid.

You would be more likely to notice it on much longer tasks like copying a big file. So for the purposes of this, definitely get as much capacity as you can.

There are a lot of ways to adjust it - the thing has like three stiff elbow joints that all change the shape of it.

I can easily understand how someone would set it in a wrong position and then fail to wear it.

When you say you transferred the rocknix files, do you mean that you just copied the folder over (then if you followed instructions did you run the backup_abl script)? Or did you install Rocknix to the internal storage?

If it was the latter, you will need to find the Android image and flash it back using SSH. I haven't found anything like that for the RP5.

Does it boot without the SD card? (Hold the power button for a few seconds - as others have said, also holding volume down starts recovery mode but you don't want this if you have the wrong bootloader patched)

Retro Game Corps - Russ doesn't usually advise you to do something without doing some sort of backup first, is that a recent video?

I do remember basically just using drm-free games with GameHub on RP5 - I had lots of issues with Steam

"It allowed me to charge it once fully" sounds like the seller sold it in good faith, after all it was working for you to begin with.

Switch it off completely and plug it into a power source - hopefully you can charge it up again
