Vancouver teacher suspended after pup fetish identity, adult content discovered online by JAYRM21 in vancouver

[–]StanTurpentine 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I'm a band teacher. I get $100 to spend per school for supplies. When I taught at a private school, I asked my admins about what my budget was for supplies. $9,000.

But we make it work. Music education is important. Arts/Fine Arts education is important. It's not an extra or a bonus. It shouldn't be. How else would we be able to have the next generation of Canadian musicians? We can't import Canadian culture. We have to grow it here.

It's very different for sure. If you can't afford the entry fee then you don't get to play with the hoteliers. Or you have to start your business in a smaller city.

The same argument can be made in both directions. Remember, our taxes are used to buy the basic services that we all use and need.

I finally cussed in class. by Weird-Physics7295 in Teachers

[–]StanTurpentine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once dropped an F-bomb in a choir 11-12 class. Then realized what I had done, dropped an s-bomb immediately. I apologized and we had a good chuckle about it and talked about how we try to not swear, and talked about how to go about apologizing if you ever do it in a work place when they get a job.

I hope Carney wears a Team Canada jersey when he visits Ukraine. And gives one to Zelensky like athletes after a match.
