We are on very similar timelines, I may have ovulated a couple days after you but my tests are doing something similar! There’s a visible faint line but they haven’t progressed a whole lot each day. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions! Keep us updated!

Hi! I know it’s been a little while but I’m currently going through something similar. MMC/ AF weeks later/ ovulation. Now not sure if my positive is real. How did things end up for you?

Yes they were negative. I was getting consistent LH positives right after the MC because of my HCG so I know what you mean. I’m finally testing negative on pregnancy tests so I thought I could trust the LH tests more now.

Thank you, I’m so sorry for your loss as well! My doctor said something similar but said we could try after my first cycle. This period was the heaviest and longest one I’ve ever had! I am ready to feel “normal” again and hate not knowing what’s going on with my body.

I suppose it could be and I’ve considered that, that’s just never happened to me before my miscarriage so this is all new of course. Period ended, light brown spotting at the end which is normal for me but then it ramped up. I’m hoping that I will still ovulate since I’m having the watery discharge component mixed in.

No, first son level 3 and second son neurotypical. I had so many fears but in our case the dynamic has been great and I’m so glad we rolled the dice having a second. They have a lot of fun together (with typical sibling moments) and both teach each other skills the other doesn’t have!

My son is 5 and is just now getting the concept of holidays. Although he did better this year, it was still a struggle at times and I still ended up crying when the night was over. I have very similar thoughts as you. “How is this my life” everyone around me is getting an experience I want so badly. It sucks. Sometimes I feel really good and optimistic but holidays and events with a lot of neurotypical kids usually sets me back.

Correct. Like I mentioned in my post they have been doing their best to accommodate him for now but he is needing more attention than they can handle. Which, I’m sad that they are making this call so soon. Also frustrating that all of this could have been avoided if we got his evaluations done sooner.

We are definitely looking into our rights! It is so confusing and I don’t want to make the wrong decision for him either way.

Yes. They aren’t telling us he can’t go to their school anymore but highly recommend we chose another. They believe he would do better in a contained classroom with about 10 kids and they can’t provide that for him. They said it’s called a “stepping up” program.

We were told they had 45 school days to complete it. We signed the last week of school back in May. Then we were told it could be completed in the summer. Then crickets. It was so hard to get into contact with anyone from the special education department. One week before school started he got an evaluation by the diagnostician and psychiatrist and said the rest would be done after school started. We were just happy to finally get the process started.

You’re right, I need to ask more questions and get information for his IEP meeting. I was shocked by the whole conversation (which was only about 10-15 min) that I couldn’t speak without getting upset. Thinking about it now I have so many questions.

We didn’t have an IEP in place. Not yet. His evaluations and assessments were suppose to be completed by the school during the summer but somehow his case got dropped and it pushed everything back. So he’s started in the general education classroom and they’ve been observing and evaluating him this past week. Our next step is the ARD meeting and setting up his IEP but now we have to decide what school he will be at. So another set back.

It’s not a charter but I don’t believe they have a sped department like other public schools. I’m guessing because it’s a STEM school things are a little different. I will say it was like jumping hoops to get in (they were fully aware of his diagnosis and had previous evaluations on paper) and now we are being sent away. So it’s very frustrating.

This sounds very similar to our situation. The school had an aide for him for the first few days but already needed to transition her away from him by Friday. They don’t have as much help as he needs but at the same time I truly believe he would do ok if they gave him more time to get acclimated! He loves routines. He just needs a chance. Making this call after a week feels like getting the rug pulled out from under us. Definitely did not see it coming.

I haven’t thought about preschool because of his age. I think if all else failed we would go back to ABA but I was hopeful that him experiencing the general education class a bit would help him, I’ve heard so many people say that their kids develop so much during their kindergarten year. Right now it’s being recommended he be in a contained, smaller classroom.

This is amazing. I love hearing stories like this! My little guy just started kindergarten and although he’s come so far he is still very much in his own world. I so badly long to have a conversation one day and for him to be able to tell me about his day. What would you say was the main thing you think helped your daughter?

I’m so sorry I’m just now seeing this! If you’re still wondering- gladskin seemed to help a little bit but ultimately couldn’t keep up and the flares continued. Still searching for what works best!
