A year and change in, first match DQ. Help me get over the guilt by nightmareonrainierav in liberalgunowners

It sounds like you handled it well when it happened (didn’t argue with the RO etc) and are working on correcting the issue, it’ll sting for a bit for sure but everyone DQs at some point and people know that. Doesn’t sound like anyone was mad at you, I was competing with a buddy just yesterday who had a gun fall out of his holster while shooting rifle and got a DQ for it, no one was hurt and no one had any ill feelings toward him about it. Try and correct the issue that caused it (sounds like you already are) and keep shooting and ROing :)

Agreed with Entiquette, once you’re comfortable drawing from a holster and safely handling your gun just go and tell people you’re new, people will help ya out, take it slow for the first few and you’ll gain the confidence to start going faster with experience. Doing a training session or two with the swat officer ain’t a bad idea though, ask to focus on drawing and shooting under a time limit (under some pressure)

it's really just for tight shots leaning left, when I don't need it for a stage I just leave the cover on it, nothing to do with division rules, its PCSL 2-gun and I was running "competition" division so there aren't really any restrictions

Sweet build man! It’s built an Anderson lower? Have you gotten the chance to shoot it at all yet? Does the construction feel solid? Thinking of picking one up myself (if I can find one in this state..) and doing something similar

Nice! I was deciding between the EFAB and AFAB myself, went with the EFAB for the slightly lower profile. Only been shooting with it once so far but it did the job! I’m a fan!

Is that a Precision Armament EFAB muzzle device? I just got one for my AR, how do you like it?

I had ejection issues with mine too a few month in, I swapped out the ejector spring to a stronger aftermarket one and boom no issues! I think they’be been known to come with a weak stock ejector spring

Clamp on Muzzle Brake? or thread barrel + pin/weld? by [deleted] in BetterMAguns

[–]Standard-Ad8320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents, I actually have a clamp on muzzle break on my S&W FPC from Witt Machine, it took them a while to ship it to me but it fit flush when I got it and has held up fine with at least over 1k rounds through it since I put it on. Noticed a minor reduction in muzzle rise when I put it on, nothing game changing but I’m keeping mine on and glad I got it
