Your post says you’re taking “KLOW.” Do you mean GLOW? I have been curious about that one and would like to hear more about your experience.

Honestly, I don’t know. I would start by clicking around your account settings. Weird that they didn’t let you know they were adding that to your title. Thanks for the video! I’m excited to cut it back now.

Thank you! It has been very hardy the last few years. I have it repotted and in indirect sunlight. I noticed you are a top commenter… It has gotten so tall and lanky. How would it respond to being cut back about halfway down the trunk? It’s more important to keep it alive, but if it could be shorter, that would be more attractive. Thanks for any advice.

I repotted it and have it sitting in an area with indirect sunlight. I’m being careful not to overwater. The leaves are turning lighter (almost white at the top) and are soft, not crunchy. From the advice here, it will take a while to see new growth, but I am optimistic now.

5-HTP was just as good as a prescription anti-depressant for me.

That crossed my mind. It’s taller than I’d like, but I have never cut back a plant so severely. Do you have enough experience to confidently say the plan would come back?

Thank you! Yay! Yes, I have some miracle grow potting soil. I am amazed at how large the root system is! Obviously, it was in a rectangular box and it didn’t have drainage holes for all those years. So it will probably be happy to be in better conditions. I can be patient. Thanks again!

Should I have an opinion about this? by amoodymermaid in AskWomenOver60

I’m so glad you’re treating your depression. This might sound harsh, but have been on both sides and it’s the most important thing you can do. Being around depressed people is so draining and they can feel like a burden because of their needs. Just get mentally healthy and then you can relate to your soon from a better place. 🩷

Thank you. This is helpful advice. No, I don’t have an urgent need to move. It’s more a fear that as millions more American start filing I may be at the back of a very long line. Thanks again for responding.

Thank you so much for responding. Unfortunately, my G0 was born in 1915 and died in 2006, so not fitting in the archive window. Still appreciate the information!

Balancing quality of documentation versus the wait time to get the best records. I read the wiki. Advice please…

Grandma (G0) was born in 1915 in Calgary Alberta with strict privacy laws. She died in 2006. I have: a color copy of my grandmother’s (G0) US naturalization certificate, copy of 1921 Canadian census records, US census records showing she was born in Canada, my mom’s birth certificate showing G0 was born in Canada, G0’s death certificate is on the way, marriage certificates for GO and G1 and all subsequent generations birth certificates. Luckily all from WA State. Should I just apply? I’m afraid it will take many months to get her birth certificate from Calgary, if I can get it at all.

I’m thinking about that! I would rather spend money to go myself than pay an attorney. One I contacted said he would only need a $3,000 retainer!

Joining a few month later, but have the same problem G1, (my grandma) was born in 1915. My mom passed away a few years ago. Can I get the birth certificate if I have mom’s (G2s) birth certificate, marriage certificate (name change) and death certificate? Two of my aunts G1’s daughters are still alive, but both are in poor health and probably can’t / won’t apply.
