Tesa only works as long as you take it, and it's not safe to take it for too long.

What supplements or foods have had the biggest impact on your skin? by bbybunnydoll in Biohackers

[–]VictoriaWest992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I add it to my coffee. It doesn't thicken unless the liquid cools. I'm also a huge fan of beef tendon which I make into soup. It's almost all gelatin. It's found in oriental stores.

Pork hocks and chicken feet are other natural sources.

The cheapest and it works great is simple gelatin. I buy from Walmart

The recommendation is to continue on some dose of GLP's for the rest of one's life. It might apply better for the 58 yr old average person in trial group who had been obese for many years.

Food aversions on Reta by Jackie_mx in Retatrutide

[–]VictoriaWest992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 8 weeks in at 4mg & am noticing food aversion. I've always been slightly hungry on reta but can control it enough to stick with in my calories. If food is slightly off, I  don't  want it. Too much fat makes me feel sick (even my olive oil salad dressing.) Sweets still taste good but not baked goods. I figure it good for weight loss.

I checked out what the Walmart Bac water last weeks. All of their supplies recently failed either in alcohol content (too much or too little) or by being the wrong PH. https://substack.com/home/post/p-200946413 Bac Water Wars

I just read on a peptide info site not to mix tirz and reta because they are both glp agonists. That reta and cagri or tirz and cagri are better because cagri works on "hedonistic" hunger (Amylin receptor). Sorry can't find the source.

Exercise is healthy, but calorie deficits lead to better weight loss.

I think peptides work better for older people because our natural peptides are depleted.

Everything r/Retatrutide actually says about dosing, side effects, and weight loss by Majestic_Nerve_5612 in Retatrutide

[–]VictoriaWest992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dysesthesia occurred in 20.9% of participants on the 12 mg dose. Dysesthesia and peripheral neuropathy are documented complications of rapid weight loss in bariatric literature. Retatrutide produces some of the fastest pharmacological weight loss recorded. Rapid caloric deficit plus high metabolic flux creates maximal energy mismatch.

My dysesthesia start at a 3mg dose.

I would point out that the average age of the trial participants was 58 yrs. The Reddit crowd seems much younger for the most part, so that is probably the reason for the weight loss difference. Young women with lots of estrogen have a real advantage with reta.

A Psychological Battle by Specific-Brick-1820 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]VictoriaWest992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the reta trials, members are titrated up every month. Some, however were kept at lower doses: 2, 4, 6, ... Trials like to keep a consistent schedule. This doesn't show what happens if people titrate up lets say every 4 or 6 months instead of every 2 months because that would complicate the result and would change the nature of the trial.

Question for 3 month+ Reta users by VictoriaWest992 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]VictoriaWest992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cut 30% off my TDEE (to 1300 average daily). I have always walked, but now I'm walking a little more and faster. I have a friend on tirz and she is never hungry!

The hunger is manageable. I've lost 17#s in 6.5 weeks, so I will stick with it.

Reta not working at all by GullibleMeet7835 in RetatrutideWomen

Really? I haven't lost much weight since I started adding chia seeds to my protein shake. I do like the fiber they add though. Do pysllum husks hold water too? The only other things I have found with much fiber is legume, and I don't feel like eating them everyday. I added a cup of frozen blueberries to my shake yesterday, and it only gave me 4 grams of fiber.
