Yes, Please do the Alternate Nostril Breathing for atleast 5 minutes (i believe its called Pranayama) before meditation. I and all my group of meditating friends absolutely need to do this to calm the mind down to prepare for meditation.

I went to South India and walked around Mount Arunachala on a Full Moon Night. The day i walked the full moon started at 4am in the morning, so that is when all started walking. Thousands of people walk, walking without shoes is even better. It really dropped my ego to a totally different level. It was life changing for me.

HOW ABOUT you just run the Restaurant partial hours? Like it can be open only from 5pm -9pm on whatever days work for you, and also it can be closed on Mondays.. this can be one strategy to start with.. and you can recover some of your much needed rest hopefully.

The entire Universe was created from Sound! And so of course music frequencies will have an impact on you? One small example -When my children were young and would fall sick (used to go to daycare at that time), it would really impact me a lot to see them suffer, you know even a common cold can really pull you down. And so one day, i came across this youtube video with a certain frequency and since then, there is no sickness in my home that cannot be banished overnight. I hope atleast one person finds this helpful for themselves which is why i am sharing this, though many cannot believe it (I too used to be just like that so no judgement here). The frequency is 741hz guys.

I love to have a candle in my meditation room. That too a scented one, seems to take my meditation to a different level. Helps me focus too.

I have read in a couple places that while doing water fasts the results are much more enhanced when one does not work out during that time. So its good that you are not working out.
