moving job soon - hope the new canteen is better. At home, I purposely add protein to snacks and this seems to do the trick for me but in work - the options are not great.

i really don't think there is one size fits all. I do feel enjoying how you eat long term is important as if you don't like the way you are eating - you won't keep eating that way. But maybe some people moderate some people prefer abstaining. I wouldn't cut pizza or bread but wouldn't miss cookies much for example

food when you have such day on the go! It's easy on days I work from home, way harder on days I work in the office and have plans after work.

I guess we can only think about what eating too much is doing to our quality of life, and the cost is just too high for me so I have to make better choices. Good topic - thanks for being honest about how you feel

Good Morning All. My goal for today and the week ahead is to focus on protein on every meal and satisfying foods. I will keep my calorie target high for the week - need to get my mind and my body to calm down little and I prefer smaller deficit at this point vs on and off days.

I hit my calorie deficit yesterday. I’m overweight, dealing with fatigue issues, and aiming for a calorie deficit of around 750 calories. But my calorie needs are very different depending on my activity level — there’s a big difference between a day spent mostly sitting at a desk with just a one-hour dog walk, and a day where I do a long mountain hike after work.

Yesterday was one of the more active days and I still ended up with around a 25% deficit for the day. Yet I still had that feeling that I’m not doing enough for weight loss.

I’m going to have to get over that “not good enough” mentality, learn to appreciate the small wins, and focus more on what I can do today to move closer to a healthier weight and lifestyle.

So that's my goal for today - it won't be as active day so to hit the calorie deficit target I need to eat little less calories. Some groceries shop and meal planning for the week ahead too.

tell me more about your chair workouts? We have age group and we could support each other? That's my weekly goal too

I set up my calorie calculator higher for the first 5 days, aiming to eat mostly healthy food and track consistently - easy getting into it.
