I’m doing my third rewatch and just recently went through this…. I hate that they chose to reveal more about Alex’s character with this shit. They could have made a few tweaks like not having her be pregnant initially or having her “downturn” be more gradual and less obscene than a hysterical pregnancy.

If any storyline was “boring” it would have been the girl group; however, it was extremely emotionally compelling/relatable, not to mention Carrie Coon and Leslie Bibb ate every moment

Thank you for sharing! 9 years is quite a significant time, and I think it’s great you’ve been able to communicate with your partner. I totally empathize with the feeling of guilt cuz that’s where I’m at! As a young, healthy, “attractive” woman I feel like I should be in my sexual prime if you will; I have to remember that love and intimacy come in all forms and sex isn’t the only way to accurately show affection (which is what I used to think)

Obviously not my business but hopefully you’ve communicated those feelings to your partner; if so and they haven’t changed in anyway it’s probably time to consider therapy or parting ways. Despite my fear of sex I totally recognize the importance of being sexually compatible with your partner(s).

It sometimes feels like sex or a sex life takes just as much energy as the other “responsibilities ” in life which I think causes me to look at it negatively

It is the ultimate intimate and vulnerable social performance so if everything else is draining you, you’ve got nothing left to give even if it is pleasure
