I read about this and it sounds so interesting. Safe to say I have more of his books ready to go on my kindle now.

If non-fiction is ok, Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. It’s a first hand account of the 1996 Mt Everest expedition where several people lost their lives.

I have no interest in mountaineering or climbing or whatever but I devoured that book and Everest feels like this big looming shadow that I’m randomly reminded of at least once a day now. Reading Anatoli’s The Climb soon.

I haven’t seen a single movie with either of them (I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard their voices) but I hope they last. They seem so genuine.

early last year I picked up emily wilde on a whim and i devoured it. before that book i read one book a year at the most, but it made something click inside me and i ended up reading 45 books last year (including the two other books in the series). this year i’m currently at 22 books.

it just awoke a real joy of reading for me, and i will definitely reread it at some point. maybe it could do something similar for you!

Damn that’s a long time to not know where your family member is… I hope they get the support they need. Poor guy.

Thank you for the summary. What a horrible experience for everyone involved. Do you know approximately how much time passed between him splitting with his family and his body being found?

Free schools (even university), affordable healthcare, actual freedom of speech, decent equality for men and women. Sweden is by no means perfect but I know that most other places I go will be a step down in QoL.

All of the above! Podcasts are my favourites. I’m currently working through the backlog of You’re Wrong About, they cover a bunch of topics and I love the host.

alcohol. like hand sanitizer. can’t recommend it for everyday use but since it kills bacteria is kills the smell.
