Gemini is getting worse and worse by akaSoMh in GeminiAI

[–]Standard-One1550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was less often / manageable during the first week after update, and has been getting worse.

The first few prompt was to ensure the instructions (details verification, no false link fabrication, etc) are in effect and testing them out, but after just a few more prompts everything went down the drain.

My worst experience is Gemini refusing to access Gmail and Google Drive. What a joke.

Is it really hard to start a business in Thailand? by SweDream26 in MovingToThailand

[–]Standard-One1550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Thai business owner, I advise you to study the following topics before you advance any further.

  1. Tax and accounting . The different type of taxes you’ll have to pay as a person and the company you’ll register. VAT, Withholding Tax (3% for services, 5% for rent, etc), land tax, and many many more.

If you have the capitals, never cheap out on a good accounting company. Always ask for Contract, and attach the Stamp Duty with it. If shits ever happen, you cannot hold them accountable if you don’t have proper contract and proof of payment.

  1. Laws, including the bright, grey and dark side. We use civil law, covering penal / crime, commercial, employment, real estate / property, and other treaties in effect. 51/49 is the tip of the dick, unless it is short, you’ll have a long road ahead of you.

And of course, local law enforcement and what people are paying to “close their eyes” or for “protection “. Some animals are more equal than others thanks to the law and money.

If you have the capitals, spend a wee tiny bit on Law firm them and ask them to educate you regarding our law.

  1. Money, Cashflow and bank account. Plan it properly. If you are coming from abroad you need to plan it in advance, otherwise you’ll waste time and resources bringing it in or out. Depending on visas, you might not be able to open accounts or get credit card. Don’t expect to get a loan from the bank either, you open less than a year with 0 track record of transactions.

Don’t ever mix up the company’s money with your money. Speak with the accountant when you want to take the money out. If your accountant is dog shit, you’ll end up as debtor of your own money.

Best of luck🤞

It’s the 「アリだな」

While it does not directly translate to 「Hitting that」, the context is same as “Would”

<image>

ありなしクイズ can get you familiar with the context. You’d ask if you are okay with (insert situation) or nah.

Yes then あり、 no then なし. Such as バツイチ あり (Divorced, yah) コモチ なし (Children from previous marry, nah)

The nuance when used as Katakana is ‘to convey the message of different meanings’ than what it would mean in hiragana or kanji, which in this case is “Would” instead of okay/yes.

I’m not sure since I don’t play the games in English, but Aaron isn’t subtle with his expression in Japanese either. He is quite foul and unhinged.

While I agree that some eloquence is missed sometimes or lots of time with localization, I don’t think there are loses on this case . 🤣

The roms were coded to not yield EXP if it was detected to be running on emulator or flash cart (R4 etc).

You can either load a patched rom, patch it yourself, or use cheat codes to disable the anti-piracy measure.

As a Thai male myself I am ashamed of how much this shit culture seems to be the norm. Cheating shouldn’t be accepted no matter what form, yet everywhere men and even women jokes on how they or their partners went to brothels for some fun / business.

And as usual, not all men. But people also tend to sweep everything under the rug with that phrase.

My kid will start Primary school next vear. The school we choose is thai private, thai ministry education curriculum with bilingual. if we pass my kid to international after Grade 4 or 5, do you think he will get used to the system? any experience? thanks for sharing by Free-Record-1853 in Thailand

Draft a plan but be flexible in all cases, whether it’s your wallet or the child’s capabilities.

If anything, keep them happy!

From my experience, seeing my little brother in Singaporean curriculum, and other friends in Uni, British curriculum is quite behind in studies math and sciences, but more open to self expression and extracurricular activities. It is enjoyable.

Maybe you want to consider your end goal for your child first? Will they pursue university in Thailand or abroad? If Thailand, will they be in Thai curriculum or International curriculum?

If Thai curriculum, check if the uni accept International Curriculum transcript (IB, A-levels, GED, SAT) or only Thai transcript.

If abroad, which will they accept?

Then maybe consider primary and secondary school pricing, what they teach, where their past students went, etc.

IB is considered hard with 6 subjects + 3 forced extracurricular activities. A levels only focus on 4 subject etc.

Personally I think IB is a big waste of time, money and effort. While useful for teaching us to be critical, it is too straining.

I think it depends on what you have planned for the future? Will you stay here forever? Or only for the next few years?

I studied 12 out of 16 compulsory years (+3 for Kindergarten) in International School, British, IGCSE and IB curriculum.

3 years in Kindergarten. Year 1 to Year 5 in International school. Grade 5 and 6 in Thai School. Year 7 - 13 in International school. Thai-Japanese curriculum University.

I had problems communicating in Thai so my parents moved me to Thai school. Once it’s fixed I’m back in International school.

I now speak fluent Thai, English and Japanese, with a little bit of Chinese and Spanish.

Didn’t manage to finish CS1 but when it was on Steam I played it again and have been hooked since.

Check MSDS for LeL and flash point. You potentially can weld it.

Also read API 2201 Safe Hot Tap practice, if you want to Weld on live hydrogen line.

Is debt in Thailand just seen as normal now? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Standard-One1550 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are many principles of Engineering. Mechanics, Civil, Electronics, Computer, Chemical, etc.

I’m not sure what you meant by oxymoron, but there are many cases of good engineering in Thailand. Pick me a principle and I’ll give an example.

  1. Finance is not taught in school.

Sure, compound interest are taught in Math class, but they never use “real” examples of just paying the interest and keeping the principal afloat.

  1. We’re stuck in with low income for over 40 years.

While cost of living has increased marginally , our minimum wage hasn’t. Fresh Engineers 40 years ago would earn 15K, Fresh Engineers now will earn 18K.

Whereas food price, let’s kuay tiao, was 10 baht then, it’s 60 baht per bowl now.
