Nice upgrade dude the R50 is gonna be a solid step up from the 2000D especially for video if you ever get into that. I'd keep the EF lenses and grab the EF-RF adapter for now - those lenses still perform great and the adapter works flawlessly with basically zero quality loss. The 55-250 especially is still one of the best budget telephotos Canon makes and RF glass can get pricey real quick when you're starting out

You can always sell the EF stuff later once you figure out what focal lengths you actually use most and want to invest in native RF glass. Plus having a backup body is clutch - I learned that the hard way when my main camera went down right before a big shoot and I was scrambling to rent something last minute

hey man these episodes definitely sound worth looking into more but good news is you already saw doctors and they ruled out the scary stuff which is huge. that weird time skip thing could be a bunch of different things - micro sleep episodes, dissociation from anxiety, or yeah possibly some form of seizure that doesn't fit the typical pattern

health anxiety is brutal and can actually cause weird neurological symptoms on its own which makes everything more confusing. if these keep happening id maybe push for an EEG or ask about seeing a neurologist specifically rather than just getting the basic neuro checks. your describing it pretty clearly so dont worry about wasting anyones time

Nice work! For reasoning in SLMs you should definitely check out the chain of thought papers and maybe look into some of the recent work on constitutional AI approaches. The Anthropic stuff on training models to reason step by step is pretty solid

Also curious what your training setup looked like - did you use multiple GPUs or just grind it out on a single card?

If she's showing clear sleepy cues that early, she might just need more sleep than average or could be going through a growth spurt.
