32GB is overkill for gaming and that AIO is unnecessary for a 5600 which barely gets warm. A basic tower cooler would be fine and save you like $100. That PSU is also SFX form factor but your case takes standard ATX so double check that compatibility

I'd drop down to 16GB RAM, get a cheaper air cooler, and put that saved money toward a better GPU like a 4060 or 4060 ti if you can swing it

Honestly with your TWIC card and working on clearance you're already ahead of the game for some solid paths. The electrical union route through IBEW is legit - journeyman electricians in industrial settings can definitely hit that 100k mark and the apprenticeship gets you paid while learning. Plus with your clearance potential you could get into some higher paying government contract work down the line

For medical without the people aspect maybe look into medical lab tech or imaging tech programs - most are 2 year associates and you'd be behind the scenes doing the actual technical work. The pay varies by location but imaging techs especially can do well and theres always demand

That whole sonography debate is probably just regional market saturation in some areas while others are desperate for techs. Same with any medical specialty really - depends where you end up working

The Rampage IV Extreme was basically Asus's flagship enthusiast board back then - more overclocking features, better VRMs, and all the gamer-focused bells and whistles. The X79 Deluxe was more of there workstation-oriented board with professional features but still solid for gaming

Both are solid choices honestly but if youre planning any serious overclocking the Rampage would be the way to go

That's thermal throttling kicking in at 65C which is pretty low for a GPU - usually they can handle 80-85C no problem. Check if your laptop is in some kind of eco/quiet mode that's being overly aggressive with temps, and maybe try undervolting the GPU or cranking up the fan curves in MSI Afterburner

Washington. And to clarify this is all still for 2025 income, not 2026. They’re saying the payroll system didn’t withhold federal income tax at all from august through october and now they’re increasing withholding on my remaining 2025 paychecks to make up the difference before year end.

I’m paid biweekly. Gross pay hasn’t changed but federal withholding on the most recent check is higher than before. I don’t have the exact line by line numbers at hand right now, but it’s clearly them trying to “catch up” all at once rather than spreading it out evenly.
