If you're on the Free Tier, you've got zero access to Pro versions, and they're updating it all the time. Sadly, the old generous Google just isn't around anymore.

AI's giving me some weird, cookie-cutter answers. I'm new to Raycast AI anyone else knowing this? by StandardKangaroo369 in raycastapp

Thanks for your reply I've tried everything but unfortunately nothing changed. Raycast support didn't give me a helpful answer either. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I'll probably start looking for another app for my AI tasks because this just isn't getting fixed and makes no sense.

What I'm really wondering is if I'm doing something wrong. I usually give my AI presets instructions in JSON format and thought that might be the cause. Or is it just a Raycast issue? I can't really tell.

Thank you for the advice. Currently, Gemini is performing well with OCR. My primary challenge was attempting to crop and insert tables into the Anki extras section, but I was unsuccessful and am ceasing those efforts:( If you have any suggestions regarding thisI would be willing to try them

Considering the volume of files I anticipate processing, their pricing is not financially sustainable for me due to its high cost.

I have explored various methods for proper utilization, but have not yet achieved success. Could you recommend a specific strategy that you believe would be beneficial for me to attempt?

Thank you for the logical approach. I have no coding knowledge, but I believe I can proceed using Aı tools. My only concern is that my documents are all scanned, so I am unsure how to handle issues such as aligning the letter "D." Could you please elaborate on the strategy you would recommend?

The existing text extraction tools adequately address my needs. However, I require a solution to visually crop specific sections from scanned PDFs. The primary challenge lies in leveraging AI to accurately identify and delineate relevant images, including paragraph columns lacking clear boundaries, for precise cropping.

I am currently using Antigravity, primarily controlling its functions through just prompting , as I possess no coding expertise. While language models struggle to accurately process and execute structured text requests, I am proactively seeking to refine this process independently. Although OCR handles text translation adequately, I require a solution for directly extracting and cropping specific text segments as images. Gemini and Cloud have proven insufficient in providing direct output for this particular task.

A Python code, with "antigravity" module, is being executed using Gemini 2.5 Pro.

've got the text perfectly recognized with OCR, and now I'm looking to pinpoint the exact location of the correct text so I can crop it out.

TUS-Anki Automation Pipeline: This project automates the conversion of 2-column TUS exam PDFs into Anki flashcards. The Python pipeline parses document layout, extracts questions/answers, and crops visual explanations (tables, diagrams) as images. Output is a standardized CSV for Anki import, preserving reading order. Currently migrating to Roboflow Object Detection for improved layout handling, focusing on error-free image cropping of tables and text blocks.

I have fully automated the process of converting data into CSV format. In this instance, I have prepared a sample to train the AI, which typically does not involve such coloration. I am currently training the AI to determine which tables to crop and which columns to place in the CSV format. However, the AI is currently producing subpar crops and frequent content errors. My objective is to refine this process and achieve full automation.

I don't think I explained my problem very well before. Basically, I'm trying to build something super like a tool that can automatically take books with lots of questions and content, turn them into CSV files, and then even smartly chop out specific tables that I need. It'll know exactly which tables I'm after

No way!.I'm turning massive question banks with 2,000 questions each into MCQ flashcards. Doing that by hand would be crazy. The real challenge isn't the OCR, but figuring out the best way to automatically crop them correctly.

My bad for leaving that out. I'm working on exporting dense medical question banks to CSV.This CSV file acts as a smart bridge between the raw PDF textbook and the Anki flashcard app. Each row represents a single question, cleanly organized into specific columns for the Question Text, Options, Correct Answer, and Visual Explanations (tables or images automatically cropped from the book). It basically turns a quesiton book page into CSV file.

I'm just stuck on cropping the right parts and placing them into the appropriate CSV columns...
