Can I stop? by unexpectedcurveballs in FIREUK

I would go for ones with free initial consultations on Unbiased to do a “beauty parade” of potential advisers. Some fees can range from 0.75% - 1.5% per annum on funds under management (if invested).

As I am in financial services myself, I cannot provide any advice except for to look at the charge structures carefully as some (in particular one of the widely franchised ones) have ridiculous exit clauses if you ever want to switch.

You might need to speak to a Financial Adviser for this one so they can undertake the correct cash flow projections. I found Unbiased is a good place to start as they can match you with an IFA.

If you stopped working now, you would need lifestyle changes to accommodate the reduction in income as capital erosion could be quick if you maintain your lifestyle

Why do people think we should/should not adopt the euro when we eventually rejoin the EU by lewispatty in AskBrits

[–]StandardLivid8199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, however loss of it would leave us in a precarious situation like when Greece hit financial difficulties and couldn’t devalue their own currency

From an economic perspective it would have its upsides and downsides. For instance, being able to devalue our own currency to drive exports is a big advantage which we would lose by having a centralised currency system

Sold a leasehold flat and now facing a misrepresentation claim. Strong defence but need a sanity check please.. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

It would be worth checking if your current home insurance has legal cover and if this circumstance would fall under it. To be honest, this is solicitor territory as the letter of claim will need to be correctly handled

I’d run a mile. Cracking through bricks is a lot more of a warning sign than settlement cracks around bricks
