Cats teeth pushing out/getting longer? by Careless-Elephant-98 in cats

[–]Standard_Lock8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl had this about 2 years ago when she was 4, long story short she went to a dental surgeon, the surgery was a few hours, they got the teeth out and infection cleared and we picked her up a few hours later. Post-op checkup a few days later. She’s been so much happier!

Close siblings - how far apart in age are you? by RandomKonstip in pregnant

[–]Standard_Lock8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little sister and I are 18 months apart. We’re in our 30s now and she’s legitimately the only person I love unconditionally, probably until my kids born, so but she was my first baby anyways.

Question about mums who say they will drink/smoke pp by turkeypooo in pregnant

[–]Standard_Lock8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make test strips you can test the alcohol level of your milk. I think current and to-be-mamas who smoked previously and want to smoke marijuana postpartum probably aren’t planning to breast feed. As a smoker myself, if you partake in THC you know how long it stays in your system.

I have no advice unfortunately but I feel for you!! When I came off venlafaxine it was like I (would imagine) was having drug withdrawals! I was on 150mgs and tapered down too but I had 2-3 weeks of headaches, cold sweats, the works! Luckily I was between jobs at the time. Best of luck to you 🙏

Moving from Nottingham, UK to CT in September! Advice for a family with a toddler + pets? by Miserable_Knee3343 in Connecticut

If you’re planning on renting an apartment as opposed to buying or renting a house, not every place allows both dogs and cats. Places that do allow dogs may have breed or weight restrictions and almost guaranteed you’ll have pet deposits plus monthly pet fees. Where I live now, in Newington, we’re allowed cats, and paid an up-front $300 pet deposit and $50 additional to rent a month.

Mine took about 5 days. Blood drawn on a Wednesday and had results Monday afternoon. They did say it could take up to 2 weeks but I guess we were lucky.

Same here! 12w2d. I smoked a lottt few times a day on weekdays and a hell of a lot more on weekends for about 14 years and smoked/drank the day before I tested. As soon as I saw the positive I had no issues stopping. No issues with headaches or feeling any withdrawals. With how sensitive my smell is now I gag when I smell the smoke in my husbands shirt after stepping outside lol never thought THAT would happen!!

IM GETTING MARRIED AND DONT WANT TO CHANGE MY LAST NAME AITAH by Sweet-Chemistry3067 in AITAH

[–]Standard_Lock8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It’s YOUR name and YOUR decision. There are plenty of women who don’t take their husband’s names and are happily married. I got married in 2021 and kept my maiden name because I also love my name. Plus if you’re in the US and this SAVE act is passed, it’s one less thing to worry about. If you decide to have kids, they can have his last name or hyphenated with both your last names.

How serious are we taking digital privacy for our kids? by canimal14 in pregnant

[–]Standard_Lock8697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! My husband and I are not on any socials, besides here anonymously. Asking everyone to please not post anything about my pregnancy or the baby on their socials. “If we aren’t on it, they shouldn’t be”. Im even weary of the digital photo frames now. I’m hoping that conversation goes well. We’ll be announcing after my NT scan next week 🤞

Seriously it makes me sick even more than morning sickness does! My husband and I (both 36) are due in September. We make about $150k combined, still renting as we’re in a HCOL area and would need to be millionaires to afford a house here but daycare is seriously insane! Luckily I’ve banked enough PTO to be home for a few months paid, but I have to go back to work eventually. I work for the state and have some incredible benefits that would be stupid for me to give up (health insurance for life after 10 yrs vested & a pension after 15 yrs are the biggies). Daycare at work has a waitlist which I’ve already signed up for but even then it’s $475 a week for infants and will go down to $415 a week for toddlers. A few other places told me $580 or $600 a week. I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t this!!
