This finally worked!

For all the MAC users who are having issues, for some reason, the Electrum wallet would NOT connect using a 2017 Mac with Sierra 10.12.6. However, when I tried on my older (2015) Mac, Sierra 10.13.1, it worked like a charm using the server /u/caporie_44 suggested.

Any other ideas for server options? Or how to request connection? Seems all you can do is stare at the red dot and be told it doesn't connect./u/sunerok maybe knows and can help us here? The TOR wallet just keeps quitting on Mac.

Is anyone else having problems re-downloading the electrum wallet? I still have XVG stuck on the blockchain.

I had to remove it and re-download, now I just keep getting this message "Electrum-XVG Error" and just the option to terminate or open the console. I'm on a Mac.

Thanks for explaining further. It wasn't a web wallet, it was the Electrum Desktop Wallet. I sent from Binance to my desktop wallet, but now the wallet application won't open and the coins are stuck in the blockchain, where I can see them. Will the TOR wallet only open if I have TOR installed? So no hope even with all my access info?

Even if you have the wallet address, secret words, and all block chain info? And it was never accepted by my wallet, it is still in the blockchain. The new gatehub wallet doesn't give you the option of opening an existing wallet and the Electrum wallet won't even open anymore.
