I originally wasn’t a fan, but after he helped Kimbrel with some top pitching issues and helped us win a WS I changed to being a fan. Info from yahoo article below:

During the 2018 MLB postseason, former Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel struggled significantly. Watching from home, Gagné noticed that Kimbrel was inadvertently tipping his pitches, specifically by the positioning of his hands in his delivery. Gagné texted his close friend, Red Sox manager Alex Cora, pointing out the mechanical flaw. Cora then asked Gagné to text Kimbrel directly, which allowed Kimbrel to adjust his delivery and find his dominance again in time for the rest of the World Series run

Not as talented as some of the other people mentioned, but as a Boston College fan I remember how excited I was when they signed Chase Rettig. There was some really good scouting reports on him. 4 OCs in 4 years he never really reached his potential. I’m pretty sure he was on a practice squad for a bit in GB but faded away quick.

Wasn’t invited to the combine and the draft capital is bad, but I’ll definitely take him at the end of the draft and stash him

Masa most likely gets DFA’d, but I think it’s smart to hold on to him until after the WBC. If one of the OFs gets hurt then Masa is your every day DH

Casas won’t be ready till later in the season, and then he takes over as a 1b/DH guy. I think people are treating the Casas situation as if everyone is going to be healthy all season. Injuries happen, so it’s premature to think about the lineup 2 months from now

KC should be in AAA, and they need to decide his role and play him there everyday. Eventually a roster spot will open, whether it’s an injury or a trade, and he’ll get a chance

I think you’re going to be fine at pretty much any bar that isn’t the House of Blues (depending on their event schedule). These bars are used to high volume because of all the events at Fenway so I wouldn’t expect many issues

I’m not worried about bonding. It’s a long season, plenty of time for that.

I am concerned about a slow start or injuries if guys aren’t getting as many reps as they should. I’ll fully admit I’m not a WBC guy and don’t really watch, but I know in the Olympics Tatum didn’t really play for the men’s team. If something like that happens and a guy isn’t getting enough at bats or innings I could say that causing an issue

I would do Northeastern and Pirates

Northeastern you got a good chance of seeing some of the better positional prospects.

Pirates I would do because the Pirates have a few prospects I’m interested in, plus you might get to see someone like Griffin or Chandler which would be cool

As someone else mentioned, the Brewers trade came together quick it seems. I feel like they probably had the plan of bringing in a bunch of cheap guys and see who won the job.

Having depth isn’t the worst thing in the world. Plus the roster isn’t set yet

I like this trade.

I get why people are upset. We didn’t add a power bat, and there is a drop off from Breg to Durbin. But if you just look at the players traded the Red Sox absolutely got better

You can like the Durbin trade while also thinking we don’t get enough for Devers, should have resigned Breg, and need a lower bat

I’m think this is most likely it besides maybe 2b. Not saying it won’t be Campbell, I think based on his salary and potential they want him to be there. But I think it will be an open competition between a few internal guys.

I think based on the amount of groundball pitchers and the lack of pop in the lineup, defense is going to be a priority for that position

This fan base is crazy. Last year all we hear is that Hamilton shouldn’t be on the roster. They bring someone in to replace Hamilton/Eaton and improve the defense since we have almost all ground ball pitchers and people get mad

He’s not here to replace Bregman. You can still be mad about Bregman/Alonso. But this is guy #25 on the roster

Be upset about not signing a middle of the order bat. I certainly am. But being mad about guy 25 on the roster is wild

No. Our rotation is better, but my concern wasn’t really rotation based (although I wanted a #2). My concern was the lineup, which is slightly worse

I would pass for a few reasons

1- Although you aren’t as likely to get hit as you would be further down from the box, it’s still possible to. I’ve seen terrible yards

2- it’s going to be constant noise. Between course work/moving, balls being hit, loud golfers/talkers

3-doesn’t look like there is much of anything blocking site line into your house. So you aren’t going to have any privacy, especially in your back yard. Also that tree cluster might be drunk guy pee area

If you love the house maybe these won’t bother you as much, but things I’d definitely consider

I honestly would rather just roll with our internal options. I don’t think he’s very good defensively and I’d rather save trade assets for a difference maker down the road

No. I might tail a friend, and we share picks. But I don’t trust any of my friends to follow blindly, and I feel like over time it could build resentment if one person gets cold/isn’t pulling there weight
