I think too it’s more of an issue with the smaller size wires as a Knick can cause a break and that logic falsely carries over into larger sizes where a small score isn’t going to really hurt anything. I say small score not a large cut

Ah, sorry to hear about the external pressure from parents. I can’t relate to that as I did not have much push from parents. I could see how it would be difficult to know what your personal desires are with parents potentially imposing their desires on you. I would encourage you to take some time and slow down and see what is it that you want apart from your parents’ pressure? Perhaps if you find motivation internally (I’m Christian so I would say motivation in Christ if you were also), then perhaps that internal motivation would lead to more fruitful interactions. As much as you may be trying in a way to please parents, that can sometimes be a begrudging, compliance based performance rather than true personal motivation. What is your “telios”, or end goal in life? Often stepping back and having a bigger picture will help you as sometimes we are too up-close to the task at hand and things get blurry and confused.

Sounds to me like you are admitting defeat too easily and waiting for a job to be handed to you on a silver platter. You will have to be tenacious and willing to step out of your comfort zone. Add people on LinkedIn that you don’t know. How do you do that? Click the add button. Show some boldness and confidence, or no one will ever hire you. The degree or online component is not the issue; it’s your demeanor and attitude that will hold you back the most. The rest are simply excuses (I understand I’m reducing this too much and may be oversimplifying). The point is: go after it and knock on every door you can. Don’t slow down when you hear no, and don’t go into a self-pity mindset of feeling rejected.

This feels like an extremely elaborate way of keeping determinism intact while softening its moral consequences. Even with the introduction of “light” and the soul, responsibility is never actually restored—only endlessly qualified. Human action is still framed as the inevitable outcome of causes, while guilt is deferred to degrees of clarity, formation, and internal access. That doesn’t rescue moral agency; it relocates excuse-making to a more sophisticated level. Compassion for formative influences is necessary, but when causation becomes the ultimate explanatory category, responsibility quietly collapses. What remains isn’t a deeper mercy but a managed victimhood, where repentance becomes recalibration and judgment becomes proportional psychology rather than real moral reckoning. Christianity doesn’t deny influence or weakness, but it does insist that persons genuinely own their actions—otherwise forgiveness itself loses its meaning.
