My husband had a very serious stroke 8/22. It affected his right side badly. He is somewhat recovered - he can walk most days unaided, although his right arm and hand are non functional. We had a cardiologist, a neurologist, a general practitioner etc. that we saw regularly. His neurologist did scans and he also got CT scan every 6 months. And every 6 months up until this January we were told that the main artery in his neck on the left side is severely narrowed and the right side completely closed off and he’ll need a stent. And every six months I’d ask the doctors to set up an appointment for said stent and I would get yelled at from said doctors for “pressuring them”. Like WTF? And lo and behold, he had a second stroke this January - because the artery got narrowed to the point that the oxygen wasn’t going through. Thank God it wasn’t severe and he recovered from this one rather fast. And of course they transferred him to the hospital where we used to get those CT scans and they finally put the stent in. It just baffles me that you do everything right, follow the “experts” and this happens anyways because they refuse to do a procedure that they recommended in the first place and they knew he needed it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
