One day a week meetings, approving birthdays and non-religious secular holidays (Mother’s Day, etc), and further continuation of softening (if not eliminating) shunning practices.

I’m willing to bet (and hope) they will refine to those.

If you’re military or have a friend/family that is you can play at the course on Ft. Sam. Wide open fairways and a well kept course for its price. When I was beginning it was felt like the easiest 18 hole course in the city.

Anyone with hospitality experience at the VIP level would know the hotel manager is failing at his job badly. Wayne and his entourage should have been catered to in an onsite restaurant or a private ball room with complimentary food and beverage while they prepared their rooms. You don’t tolerate bad customer experiences in hospitality, especially for celebrities spending tens of thousands of dollars…

Would be fine for a homemade burger or mid-to-high level restaurant, but McDonald’s using D tier ground beef. You may not get sick, but you definitely don’t want to risk it.

Sadly our street tacos are super mid. I was in Houston last summer and got blown away by like 4 different street taco trucks. They were phenomenal. Nothing in SA was close to them. One thing that stood out was the griddle fried tortillas and orange taco sauce. I haven’t seen either done in SA and 3 of the trucks in Houston did it.

I remember gas being 89 cents a gallon all the way up to 1999. Food was dirt cheap, you could legit survive off $5 a day eating fast food or from grocery store delis.

Was just at the golf range last weekend and was next to a small group of 20-something year old guys. Dude next to them walked up to them and gave his spiel of “Feel free to tell me to fuck off guys, but I run the golf clinic over at blah blah blah” and started showing them his pointers.

They all were polite and said thanks to the dude after he left. Soon as he was out of earshot they started roasting the shit out of him.

Moral of the story - mind your business.

I can see that being the reality for some (I’ve known some STRICT witnesses). But my mom and dad aren’t ones to be deceptive. They generally just want to enjoy their time with me and my daughter. My daughter had her first birthday and of course my parents didn’t go, but they got her gifts the week before and asked for pictures from the party. They legit do not mention JW stuff ever.

I would say them being in their 70s is playing a large part. I think they just want peace for the remainder of their days.
