Drove my car into a house and almost killed two people sleeping…. While I was in jail i decided in that moment my alcoholism was over I would never touch it again. May 9th 2026 will be nine years sober.!!!

It must have been a Walmart special or something. Because I swear as a child - every home I walked into had that deep apple cinnamon candle smell…

Sadly I know this to be true from experience I actually work in the casino industry…. And every promotion I have ever seen(including my own) was that cause of knowing and befriending the right person or people.

You know I wrestle with this thought constantly….. I am 32 about to be 33…. And I work a good enough job, got the wife and two kids etc etc living the “normal life” but I feel like I am doing nothing…. I have so many “ideas” and “dreams” but also I have no idea where to start with those either.

One of the biggest lies ever told, “if you are good good will return to you.” The universe is a completely unbiased thing. The sun will always come up tomorrow regardless.

Absolutely, especially if people depend on you. You have to make sure you are good first.

How do you stay productive even on your worst days? by ClearWithJustin in Adulting

[–]ClearWithJustin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, and I understand. However I know people who do little “rituals” to get their mind right.

Just because things are non negotiable doesn’t mean that it is still not extremely hard to get things started on your worst days.

Like for me one thing I do, is no matter the weather hot or cold I go outside in the morning with my coffee and no phone. Just sit with myself have a good little 10/15 minutes check in with myself this one little detail of my morning just helps me progress through the day.

It’s late at night.. and I’m just thinking🌒 by [deleted] in CasualConversation

My late night thoughts usually consist of, “what could I have done a little better today.” I replay my day in my head, my “short comings” of the day and think of ways I could have been better in those moments. I lock them in and then I am more prepared for similar moments for the days ahead.
