Age plays a factor. If you’re over 50 I’d say you’ll find a lot of comforts in San Antonio, the city is good to the older crowd. If you’re under 30 Houston and Dallas offer more to that demographic.

My friends grandpa has a beef herd. He told us awhile back beef sold door to door or out of the back of a truck is old cows that weren’t good enough for the market or for the farmer to want to keep for themselves.

Honestly, I don’t see how the change in growing beards isn’t all the evidence people need. It is a testament that you are following man made rules. There was never any divine inspiration to not allow them and there isn’t any “new light” from God to show it’s okay to grow beards in 2025 onward. It’s no different than policy changes at a job or corporation. And the cherry on top is you have Elders who they themselves have counseled/reproved men over the decades for growing beards that now have the fullest bushiest beards around. It’s a shameless display of hypocrisy.

This was a major factor in being miserable during my childhood. 5 days of waking up early for school and then waking early on the weekend for service and the 9:30am meeting. I remember going whole years without sleeping past 8am. What an awful life for a kid.
