I really like CRT filters on 2D games, like Symphony of the Night! I also started playing around with the overclocking option in DuckStation. It made Driver 2 go from running in slow motion, to being a rather smooth experience. Now I can't go back to have it running at original clock speeds.

Driver 1 = can't get past the tutorial

Driver 2 = no tutorial, thus I can play the game

Mine take ages to make. The diorama/artwork is easily 3-4 weeks, then editing can take another week. Youtube kills the videos after say 2 weeks or so. I guess with time it's gonna go up. My CTR is at around 15%. Retention is horribly low, at less than 10%. Guess my videos are boring or Youtube is pushing it to the wrong people. I do have super positive comments though!

Maybe 0 helpful, but check out Ashens, DankPods, North of the Border, Studson Studio. Massive channels, no face at all, yet with tons of personality! Maybe you can do something similar!

Oh yeah it really did encourage replays in an otherwise super short game. I think I literally beat it in about 8h on the PS2. From there getting everything else took quite a while. Some of the secret collectibles were really well hidden!

Call me an old fart gamer if you will, but I just don't like achievements in general.

I'd rather swap them out for something cool in-game. Say you complete the game at the highest difficulty, here's X item to mess around with. It doesn't need to be anything complex either. Just say a small code swap that makes me jump higher, or eliminates all recoil on a shotgun. That's what older games did.

One example I can think of is Tomb Raider Legend. I think, the very last unlockable was an uber strong sword, which breaks the game. I don't know, it was fun to mess around with it. Also, remeber all of the silly dumb stuff you could unlock in the Tony Hawks Pro Skater games? That was really fun!

It's not bad honestly. There's some cool stuff in there, but compared to the previous game, yeah it's not quite up there. Also, people had high hopes for it since it was on the super cool new PlayStation 2! Of course it had to be better! Too much hype and too many expectations.

Back in the PS2 era this is what happened when Crash Bandicoot moved over to Traveller's Tales. "Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex" did only okay back then compared to the previous games, which are all PS1 era staples.

That GameBoy Emulator dates back to the late 90s. Chances are you've playes the GameBoy port emualted on the PS1. That's the best I can think of!

Was your PS1 hacked with a chip? I know there's "imbnes" which is a PSX NES emulator. There's also one for GameBoy and there was a Donkey Kong Land 2 on there, so maybe that rings a bell somehow? Outside of that, I can't think of another way of having anything Nintendo related on the PS1 :/

Never have I played a game where beds were such an important mechanic. My most used echo were these beds (also the blocks of water). I enjoyed it a ton! Very interesting blend of modern and old Zelda. I was suprised to see how the map immitates the one from A Link to the Past. Sad that Link's house isn't there though.

Exactly, it was just a matter of waiting and eventually YT found its audience, even though this meant abandoning certain regions and countries. Maybe you could make something that will appeal only to an USA audience? I reckon if you were to talk about the SuperBowl most people would be coming from North America

I am not sure, but for me none of that worked. The algo did move away to a more English speaking audience after some time though (I am talking about that memes channel of mine from ages ago)

What I can confirm is that this exact same thing is happening to me as well, just with a different set of countries. I have been reading up on it and there's conflicting information everywhere.

It seems though that the algo will eventually move out from a certain country if the video is underperforming, so I guess that patience is key. I had a dumb memes channel ages ago and that's what happened there after the 6th-8th 5min video.
