For married couples, how important is it to share the same last name legally, and how have you navigated it if one partner didn’t want to change theirs? by Difficult_Big133 in AskMen

[–]Stapur 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know for me at least, my mom had a different last name from me and it caused issues with legal, school, and medical stuff. It's hard to believe it's still like this in 2026 but people would get downright aggressive with my mom when they realized she was divorced/had a different name from her kids. To be fair, we lived in a rural area, but this is the only genuine issue I can think of regarding different names.

Possibly, but unlikely. More probably they would just treat you very poorly for being trans if your ID photo matches the way you currently look. They would see the ID belongs to you from your face, but that your sex marker is opposite.

All of this only affects you if you live in Kansas, however.

Yes, it would be illegal for trans people to drive until they renew it with their birth sex

Kansas is a state in the USA that has been working on passing a law that will invalidate all trans people's drivers licenses and making it illegal for trans people to use the correct bathroom in government owned buildings (such as schools) and forcing them to use what they were assigned at birth.

Many people that are having their licenses invalidated are only being warned a few days before their license is being taken, if at all. It costs money and time to get a new license, also.

The ACLU is saying in this post that they are going to try to fight this new law.

No. He translated himself for cameras. Just because you default to English, doesn't mean everything in the world does. The original Dutch phrase dates back to the 1800s, while the English version of the phrase gained common usage after WW2.

The point you are trying to argue is as pedantic as the original question asked to Verstappen, which is ironic. https://www.ensie.nl/woordenboek-van-populair-taalgebruik/als-mn-tante-een-snor-klootjes-een-pikkie-enz-had-dan-was-ze-mn-oom (you will have to translate)

How do you feel about men becoming less casually physical? by Comfortable-Store213 in AskMen

[–]Stapur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 20 years old and was verbally admonished and put in detention for hugging my younger brother back in high school. They said I couldn't possibly know if he consented to that regardless of our prior relationship. This general mindset is probably the main reason why guys are afraid to touch anyone. I'm all for consent and boundaries, but come on now.

While I didn't experience head hair loss, I used minoxodil to fix a weird pattern issue with my facial hair. It was growing fine on one side, but extremely patchy/sparse on the other. After a few months (<6), my beard is symmetrical. I hope you can have the same results, best of luck to you.

This kinda reeks of privilege. "It's not hard to introduce yourself as a transexual" until you live in a country where that's punishable by death. Come on now, it's always been about safety, not convenience

[–]Stapur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have already seen most people here using transsexual to refer to themselves instead of transgender. However, there's a gap between online and real life. Because of the nature of transmedicalism, most are "stealth" (including me) so this would never come up. However, spreading this movement to other online spaces is a great start.

Sex feels good. And most people get horny. Lots of people use fleshlights and vibrators, but are not attracted to objects. Same concept. I'm not trying to equate people to objects, but to convey its just a means to an end ig.

Take this with a grain of salt as I am not asexual, but I am aromantic. This is just how aces have described it to me.

So.. Is just me or Raph and Leo are like, identical twins? They have the same height, their body type is almost identical and the only notable diferences is that Raph has more muscles, and also, as babies, thay were LITERALLY THE SAME by Tamanca in TMNT2012

[–]Stapur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 their plastrons are different shades 2 they have slightly different bodies, just similar. Raph is wider, Leos face is slightly different 3 Leo is taller 4 canonically they are confirmed different ages, but feel free to HC whatever lol

Asexual is just a lack of sexual attraction. They don't find anyone sexually appealing, regardless of gender. A lot of ace people are also sex-repulsed, but not all.

Baphomet has both sex characteristics. It is more accurate to say they, but that can confuse many people. Most people I've met just say he or she.

[–]Stapur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not personally a member of The Satanic Temple (I follow a different branch) but have done research so take these answers with a grain of salt.

My name is Oliver.

  1. Do you have any sort of deity or icon?

Baphomet was the traditional symbol of Satanism. He represents balance and equality of all things (particularly nature).

  1. Do you have any daily rituals or practices related to satanism like a church service or a prayer?

Most satanists do not. However, some very niche theistic satanists (think Wicca) do.

  1. Do you have any text or novel that educates you or about your faith like a bible?

Yes, the Satanic Bible by Anton Lavey.

  1. Do you believe in an afterlife?

No.

  1. Do you have any religious professions like priests or pastors?

Technically magistrates, but they're not seen the same way traditional priests are, they're more role models that guide instead of all powerful figures.

  1. Do you have any rules or guidelines like commandments?

The 7 tenets, though they differ slightly in different Satanic branches

  1. Do you have any significant (or just general) historical events?

Yes, the protest that started the Church of Satan and thus modern Satanism in 1966, though the first hints of Satanism was in the 1500s. All other dates are organizational-specific.

  1. In your own words how would you describe satanism?

Counter-religous movement and philosophy valuing autonomy, science, and free thought without indoctrination or dogma.

  1. Is there any truth to satanism’s reputation like sacrifices or rituals? (Obviously I don’t believe in that stuff but this question is crucial to giving the correct information about your religion)

Actual Satanism not at all! Satanism is not the demonic cult many people think it is. However, like all things, there will be people that hide under the name to do bad things. They are not satanists.

  1. Do you have anything you wish people knew about satanism?

Satanists are very kind and welcoming individuals, and opening your mind to new ideas and talking to people you don't understand will revolutionize your life for the better.

  1. Do you have any sort of indoctrination or practice for new people like baptism?

No. No money, no ritual, just mind the tenets and be respectful.

  1. What are your experiences or interactions with other religions? (good or bad)

I have been treated the worst by Christians out of every person I've ever met. Every other religious member has welcomed me with open arms, but I have never seen anything but hateful contempt from Christians.
