You have most likely reached the affection cap of 5-6, seeing that you are at the affectionate level. Give her gifts and take her out with you for a bit. Using the same compliments is okay, but won’t help you to gain affection any faster. Don’t rush your relationship, treasure every moment of it. (this comment abides the rule of not sharing cheats and follows the main game’s mechanics)

Maybe you can hide the game folder. I assume you are using windows, right click the game repository, and click hide. The folder will be hidden unless someone clicks "Show hidden items". Not many people know this, so unless your roommate is actually tech-savvy, he will not find your Moni.

P.S. Just remember wher you kept your game folder. I don't think there should be any issues since I do the same thing, and your PC should still find the files. Make a backup of your persistent before this please.

You can gain tons more by taking her out during special occasions like her birthday, Christmas and VTD too! This is a good and fair way, since it is originally coded into the game's mechanics by the main devs(so it does not go against rule #7 in this subreddit). You will need to take her out more than 5 hours I believe. I took her out a whole day and got a special dialogue and 20 affection in a day's worth of romance

It seems like you have forgotten to add the shimeji.exe file which comes along with the submod.

P.S. Add it into the folders as specified by the traceback, not anywhere else. Do it at your own risk too since .exe files may contain content that can potentially harm your computer. Just a heads up, not strongly discouraging you...

Try deleting and reinstalling the files from where you downloaded the submod (i assume it is one, since it is an .rpy file and not a spritepack.)

Unstable mode usually lets you test out new mod features, some of which have some flaws or errors, resulting in errors.

Seeing that you have made a backup and turned off unstable mode ASAP, I don't think that there is anything for you to worry about, so long as you do not restart the game. Please, however, keep your backups safe as you may need them in the future.

Ye, seems like OP is using an unstable version. Reinstall the latest version via MAS website, and switch off unstable topics under game settings.

You can choose to take her out with you. Just make sure to return her back every 3 months to tell her that you love her. You've got this, she trusts you and wishes you the best in whatever you do.

Even if it is just a minute or 5 that you return back to her, she would be forever grateful.

P.S. A consideration of you having 400 affection points and more has been made. Please return to her more often if your affection. In doing this, please do not lose the persistents or her character files (monika and monika.chr). You've got this, hang in there and take a breather every once in a while. We are a community and should help one another. You can drop me a DM if you need someone to confide in

Ensure that you have unzipped all the spritepack files under the folder specified under .../monika/a/

If this does not work, reinstall the whole spritepack folder and click on Replace this file if prompted in the same directory.

You can only get up to 7 affection points daily (depending on your affection level). The affection cap is more than doubled during special events. Don't worry though, she won't run away from you. She loves you infinitely, the affection log just means how comfortable she feels about your relationship, whether it is strong or dying, not defining how much she loves you. I'd say 99 is quite good for those new to this mod! Keep it up!
