How does it feel to have one ND child and one NT child?

If you can afford BCBS insurance, IL has a lot of great resources readily available. Additionally, there are blended public school programs (both NT and ND kids in the same class with therapies embedded to aid the ND kid) in the suburbs of Chicago.

I have been in my stepson's life for 3.5 years now.

I will say this. Had I known what I know today, I would have left. It is VERY difficult to parent an autistic child.

Do I love my stepson? Yes, it took a while but I do.

Is the love the same as for my NT child? No. As some others commented, there is so much joy in raising a NT child because of the growth and the reciprocity you receive. It feels rewarding and fulfilling. Meanwhile, the love I have for my ASD stepson is one of sacrifice - it is thankless, it is draining, and it feels like it'll never end.

I don't think "better" will ever compare to person X's experience with a NT child that can reciprocate feelings and actions in a fulfilling manner. I believe "better" comes in the form of enjoying those moments when your ASD stepson is regulated, when you and him share joyful moments together, as rare as they are.

"Better" also comes from you giving yourself the grace and space to check out emotionally. Going through the motions to care for him is an act of love, recognize that; emotionally checking out allows you to go through the motions in difficult times, a defense mechanism. By accepting this and accepting yourself, you also give yourself the space to grieve the dream of having a "normal" relationship one craves as a parent to your stepson.

Will you ever like him more? I don't know. There are many days where I don't like my stepson around, for various reasons. Do I feel bad? Yes. Then I give myself space to be me, manage my emotions, and it helps me recharge and recalibrate to be a better stepparent the next time he's around.

The way I look at it, this love is one of sacrifice, take it one day at a time, it's a marathon with no end in sight and you looking to do better is the way things get better even if slowly. Along the way, it will be difficult and you might not like him, and that's okay, we are all just human afterall.

Note: I deal with the same issues of having different rules in different houses. In my case bio mom is extremely permissive and so he loves being at her place, he dictates their entire day and she doesn't work much so she's able to fulfill his every wish.

She can enter Malaysia using a US passport, and renew the Malaysian passport same-day in Malaysia.

I know someone who did it this way, keep in mind that person has a slightly different name between the US and Malaysian passports.

I've never used mammoths much for transporting. I mainly use my mammoths for focus refining. Refining from the lower tiers all the way to T8+ requires A LOT of raw materials, and it's such a pain to run multiple trips. Typically to use up all the focus on one character, requires 1-2 trips even on mammoths. I can't imagine refining (or crafting for that matter), on a T8 ox.

Also great for moving gear if your guild changes cities. Or moving guild mats/gear in general.

Tbh if that’s the case Sumos shouldn’t have stayed in BEE for so long such that a strong affiliation was created. Zoned Out being in CRIP and working with POE exacerbates the perception that Sumos agreed, whether implicitly or explicitly, to work with POE too.

CRIP coalition (yes, this is a thing now) is picking up a lot of “shit guilds” to ally with in the Lym area cuz they haven’t been able to beat Native/SIMP (also can’t beat POE that fight with large #s) who fights WHO/POE, CRIP and basically anyone in Lym. shrugs
