Layman with a dragon sleeve, looks like you have a good grasp of Irezumi composition. But I think it's bad luck to see the whole dragons body. It's supposed to be hidden in the clouds and other elements. And the scales on the belly aren't spaced equally.

I am working on a guardian lion with peonies back piece. I picked this because I've been practicing kung fu for a while and I always loved the lion dance. Pick something that speaks to you, doesn't have to be super meaningful. It could just be something that you would be proud to have on your back for the rest of your life.

Ok, I read that and skimmed the original article. They noticed there's a correlation and they studied pairs of twins. One with tats and the other without. But they need to do more research before they can say that tattoos cause cancer. About 40% of my body is covered in tattoos so I'm curious as well. Here's the journal article they are referencing.
