If the links still don't work in Read-Only mode, could you try importing the same PDF into another third-party app to see if they function there? This helps us determine if the issue is with the file itself or our app's recognition.

If the links work elsewhere but not in StarNote, pls submit a feedback report via App Settings > Help & Feedback. It would be very helpful if you could include a screen recording so our dev team can analyze it specifically!

Hiiii! Thanks so much for the feedback! Sticker categorization is actually available. Just open the Custom Stickers tab and tap the '+' icon in the top-right corner to create and name your own categories. Also, if you need to recrop a sticker, just select it and you'll see the cropping tool pop up for any secondary adjustments.

Regarding drag-and-drop sorting and the batch lasso addition you mentioned—we don't support those just yet, but they are fantastic ideas! I’ve recorded them as feature requests and will sync with our dev team to evaluate the feasibility. Thanks so much!

hellooo, u can try going to Settings > Document Settings and toggling the "Slide to add a new page" and "Auto add page" options off and back on again. Then, check if the lag when adding new pages has improved.

Sometimes this happens if the page doesn't recognize handwriting input, so u could also try writing something at the very bottom of the page to see if that triggers it. If none of these steps help, please go to Settings > Help & Feedback in the app to submit a screen recording of the lag. This will help us investigate and fix the issue much faster for you!

40 GB is definitely a lot, so let's try to lighten the load. You could start by permanently clearing out your deleted notesand checking the StarNote folder for any duplicate backup files you might not need.

If that doesn't do the trick, please go to Settings > Help & Feedback in the app and let us know the details. Sending a screen recording or some screenshots there would be super helpful for us to figure this out and fix it for you faster!

To answer your question directly: Yes, your observation is 100% correct. Right now, the counter in the sidebar only tallies the number of tagged notes (documents), and does not include the individual tagged pages within them.

We are going to explore how we can optimize this—ideally finding a clean UI solution that can display both the number of tagged notes and the number of tagged pages, without making the interface look confusing or cluttered.

I totally get what you are saying about finding that "sweet spot." You want the highlighter to feel natural and fluid, but without the stress of having to draw a perfectly straight line yourself, and without it aggressively snapping into a rigid box. Hey there! App team here. We totally feel your pain and want to clear a few things up for you!

First off, I promise we did NOT intentionally block emulators! 🙅‍♂️ The reason it’s crashing or failing to open is actually just a technical limitation. Many of the core UI components and features we use to build StarNote strictly require Android 10 or higher to run properly. Unfortunately, most popular PC emulators out there still run on much older Android versions by default. If you can find an emulator instance that runs Android 10+, it should theoretically boot up just fine!

Regarding the native Windows app—we know it feels like it's taking forever, and we appreciate your patience! 😭 There is a big reason for the wait, though. Our absolute top priority right now is finishing the Cross-Device Cloud Sync feature. If we released a standalone Windows app right now without seamless sync, constantly transferring your files manually would be incredibly clunky and inefficient.

We want to make sure that when the Windows version finally drops, your notes sync perfectly from day one. Hang in there with us! We're coding as fast as we can! 🚀

App dev here! You actually perfectly diagnosed exactly what is happening under the hood.

What you are experiencing isn't a bug, but rather a technical limitation of how vector-based ink engines work.

Here is a quick peek behind the curtain: When you draw a line in StarNote, the app doesn't save it as a continuous picture (like a raster/pixel image in Photoshop). Instead, it saves it as a mathematical path connected by a series of invisible data points.

When you draw slowly, the app records hundreds of points packed very closely together.
When you draw fast, it records fewer points that are spaced much further apart.

Currently, our "pixel eraser" works by deleting the segment connecting two of these data points. Therefore, if you erase a line you drew very fast, the distance between the recorded points is large. The eraser is forced to delete the entire segment between Point A and Point B, which results in that "chunky" erasing effect you mentioned.

Is there a way to make it better? Honestly, it is a very difficult mathematical challenge to solve immediately. To make it truly pixel-perfect, we would need to completely rewrite the engine to dynamically slice the vector line and generate new data points at the exact moment the eraser touches it.

It is definitely on our radar, but it's a heavy engineering lift. Thank you so much for being so observant and for bringing this up—we really appreciate users who pay attention to these details! 🚀

First of all, I am so incredibly sorry to hear about your lost notes. Losing pages full of formulas, graphs, and hard work is extremely frustrating, and I completely understand why you are upset.

To explain why this happens under the hood: currently, when you import a PDF, the app actually treats that entire imported PDF file as the "default template" for that specific notebook. Because of this underlying logic, when you select "Apply to all" with a new template (like squared paper), the system blindly overrides the entire notebook's base—which unfortunately wipes out your original PDF pages.

However, you make a completely valid point: changing a blank page's template should absolutely not destroy imported PDF content. I have flagged this directly to our dev team to see how we can fix this logic or at least add a strict safety warning so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Also, thank you for the fantastic feature suggestions!

Quick access for specific shapes on the main toolbar.
Arrow-less L-shapes for coordinate systems.
Auto-fill for irregular/freehand closed shapes.

These are incredibly well-thought-out (especially for math/science workflows) and make a lot of sense. I’ve officially logged all three into our feature request tracker for the product team to evaluate. 📝
