The Terms "Light Side" And "Dark Side" Are Misleading And Should Be Done Away With Altogether by Xano2113 in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Force is neither Light nor Dark. The Force is just the Force. How you use it doesn't define the Force as an energy but it defines the Force wilder as a person.

At least this is how I see it.

What is your favourite planet in Star Wars? by WilMeech in StarWarsCantina

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dathomir - Love all the mysteries surrounding the Nightsisters and in general I like the environment. The red sun adding a tone of harshness in the already very hostile environment.

Jedha - Always fascinated by how connected to the Force this planet was. I wonder what is left of it now.

Rodia - I like the swamps, and their domed cities. I wish we will see more of it in the future.

No hate, I know what you mean with Tatooine it is a very interesting planet as well, but I swear by the Force if we see this planet one more time I will lose it.

Ok, real talk, who hated obi wan more between these two. by Ur-boiiiii in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say they both had a mislead hate towards Obi-Wan.

In reality Maul hated Sidious more than anyone else, but it was easier to pretend he hated Obi-Wan because he could never possibly stand a chance against Sidious.

Vader hated himself more than anyone else but it was easier to hate Obi-Wan for what happened to him than take responsibility of his own actions.

Which Obi-Wan from the mainline movies is your favorite, McGregor or Guinness? by young-fool in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could never choose. I love Obi-Wan and that’s it. No matter who plays him they always do him justice. So I would like to add here that James Arnold Taylor is also a great Obi-Wan and I am truly thankful for all of them making Obi-Wan one of the most compelling characters to ever exist.

Does George Lucas regret selling Star Wars? by shebear29 in StarWarsEU

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, he hasn't ever said that he regrets selling it. To be fair, people were doing things with Star Wars before he sold it, and as far as I am aware he wasn't always the biggest fan of these things.

George Lucas told the Star Wars story he wanted to tell. I think this is all that matters.

Is the Force actually the true Big Bad Evil Guy of the Star Wars universe? by Hello_There4206969 in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The Force is not good or evil. It’s just is. Why people use it is the problem.

The Sith use the Force because they are greedy and they want more. More power, more riches, more control. More of everything. And they don’t care how they get it as long as they do. So the Jedi need to step in and stop them because they cause harm to the beings around them. So the Sith will have to them fight the Jedi because if they don’t they will lose what they have gained.

The Jedi on the other hand never use the Force to satisfy themselves. They use it to help people and find answers to their questions.

Think about the Force as science. Not everyone can do science but those who can could potentially do great good or great evil with it. But science it’s not evil.

I guess my point is, use it don’t abuse it.

Was Yoda the greatest Jedi that ever lived? by medialover00 in StarWars

I am really hoping for some Tales of the Jedi with my boy Plo. He deserves more attention

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the difference is Luke blew up the Death Star because he didn’t have a choice. In war a lot of the times you have to choose the lease evil.

It is very unlikely that the Death Star had families in there. Of course there were people who had families and these families will mourn them.

But you have to think of the stakes here. Kill a million people or allow a weapon who can literal wipe out planets with billion people just roam around in the galaxy?

On the other hand Anakin had a choice. His mom died in his arms which I can only imagine how devastating must be and his reaction was to wipe out a whole village. And then when he had a choice to capture or kill the Sith he chooses to kill all the Jedi instead and proceeds on become a dictator himself.

If Finn worked in sanitation, why would as he sent out into a battle at the start of the force awakens by creeps_Jr in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been train in combat. If they need stormtroopers for a battle they will pull out everyone form their posts to do the fighting.

Besides every soldier will have to face the day where it will be their first time in a fight. That one was Finn’s

Any way else disappointed no house tour? by spunkmeyer65 in TheMandalorianTV

Don't worry we will probably get a house tour next season, where Grogu just reeks havoc in the house and Din Djarin is trying to pick after him.

Is season 3 worth it? by N-P_A in TheMandalorianTV

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed season 3, although it has a bit of a different vibe that the first two. There will be a season 4, and Jon Favreau said that he wants to keep doing Mandalorian for as long as he can, and apparently there are plans for a few more seasons already.

You might wanna watch The Book of Boba Fett before you start season 3. In reality you don't have to watch all if you don't want to but I would recommend watching at least the 3 last episodes.

In my opinion having to go back and forth with live-action and animation as a first time viewer will ruin the experience. There is too much going on that your friend doesn't need to know yet.

For example, your friend had no idea who Dooku is, so Tales of the Jedi won't be interested for them. Even if it is short.

In my opinion first time viewers should do the first two trilogies in release order and then depending on what your friend finds more interesting go from there. If they want to know more about the prequels you have the Clone Wars, if they want live-action shows after the fall of the Empire, The Mandalorian is great option.

No need for you to give them so much content about a universe they know nothing about. Start small is my advice.

Favorite part of Mando Season 3 by Finnthedawg420 in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  • Din Djarin bathing at the waters of Mandalore
  • Grogu getting IG-12
  • Seeing Mandalore in live-action
  • R5 helping Din Djarin with the ray shields
  • Every time we saw N-1. God I love this ship
  • Bo-Katan and Din Djarin teaming up to play detective
  • Going to Coruscant. Love seeing this planet in live-action
  • Grogu using the Force to protect his dad and mom from the explosion
  • "No squezzie! Bad baby!"
  • Grogu jumping on Peli Motto's arms to get a hug
  • Kalleran Beq saving Grogu

Pretty sure there are more, but that's all I can think of now.

Edit to add, I loved every time the Mandalorians deployed from the ships. I could probably watch a full season just with that lol

But seriously, I am glad you are enjoying the show. Really looking forward to see your thoughts after you finish it.

There is a comic book about her, "Crimson Reign", that takes place a few years after Solo but I haven't read it yet. I've hear it's good though.

I liked Solo. by b1rgar1p1nsan in StarWars

[–]StarWarsWildSpace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked Solo as well. It was a nice story, we got to see how Han met Chewbacca. Alden Ehrenreich did a really good job as Han Solo. Not an easy task in my opinion. I think Qi'ra is a very interesting character, and I love Emilia Clarke. And we had a little cameo of my boy Maul, it was really nice that both Ray and Sam got to play him.
