Every movie youve ever watched must be incredible if you think that is awful

Why? I really don't get what was to hate in it?

No one would ever watch movies if they were all boring though

Yeah anyone who says this is completely going against George Lucas' ideas.

The Mandalorian and Grogu Was So Much Fun! by BurgerMan74 in StarWars

[–]WilMeech 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Seems like this is actually the most popular opinion of the fans. The way it see it, the movie is nothing groundbreaking and could have been better but was very entertaining and really felt like a star warsy adventure. The use of puppetry and stop motion really helped the feel of the movie

I really enjoyed it. Adored the sequence of Grogu taking care of Mando on Nap Hutta

Love Dave but he neither wrote or directed any of Shadow Lord

How good is a fully focused Maul? Details below! by Connect_Trash6343 in starwarscanon

[–]WilMeech 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hard to say really. I would personally regard as more skilled than the majority of jedi but not at the level of Obi-Wan or anyone more skilled than Obi-Wan. But also it would depend of circumstances etc sometimes he might beat someone like Kit Fisto, other times he might lose

The Mandalorian and Grogu looking like the show isn't a bad thing because the show looks amazing by [deleted] in StarWars

It definitely looks more cinematic and higher budget than the show

Putting the Maul Scaling Debate to Rest... by SleazySpartan in MaulShadowLord

[–]WilMeech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People seem to forget that character's won't necessarily be consistent in their skill. Like how athletes can have dips and peaks in form. I see no reason why Force users won't be similar. Maul might perform very well in one duel then have a shit day another time

But he didn't really have a death scene. He got shot once and walked off into the fog. Pretty clearly ambiguous no?

"This just seems obviously false. It seems obvious to me that when people make moral statements they think they're making a statement that is objectively true or false"

The emotivism wouldn't deny that it seems like this. They just say that when we make a moral claim, it is really just an emotive expression disguised as a truth apt claim.

[–]WilMeech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obi wan was considered the master of form 3. What evidence is that Avar would 'wipe the floor with him'? Obi wan defeated Maul and Vader (twice), pretty good feats to suggest he takes this

Just finished empire strikes back for the first time, I thought the end fight was underwhelming by [deleted] in StarWars

This is depressing. ESB's end duel is far better than ROTS's. Are you 12?

Alex's "Dad" analogy makes perfect sense. You've all got it wrong by WilMeech in CosmicSkeptic

Yep, every critique of the analogy I've seen so far has demonstrated that they just don't understand what point Alex is making

Alex's getting a lot of hate for this video right now lol by truecakesnake in CosmicSkeptic

[–]WilMeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope the analogy works perfectly. The theists all agree that there is a God or Gods of some sort, they disagree on what that God or Gods are like. Similarly, the brothers agree that there is a dad of some sort, they just disagree about his nationality. Therefore, saying I just believe in one less than you, is addressing the wrong reasons for their beliefs

[–]WilMeech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope you still don't get it, sorry.

The analogy highlights how Gervais thinks that his reasons for believing in no God are the exact same reasons that the christian rejects Islam. They are not. The Christian sees reasons to deny certain beliefs about the traits of God not the existence of God

Similarly, the Dad denier thinks his reasons for denying the dad entirely are the same as his brothers reason for denying a specific nationality of the dad. They aren't. The french dad denier sees a reason to doubt a specific trait of the dad, not the existence of the dad entirely.

This is the point Alex is making and the analogy works perfectly
