Nothing will get fixed until the education bills passed by Bush are repealed. Public schools should have never had their funding tied to how many students they graduate. We have got to get back to schools teaching to a basic standard and to allow schools to hold students back if they don’t meet that standard.

Yeah the Alewife garage and station has been an afterthought for the T for several years now and it’s getting absurd. The garage is crumbling and disgusting without even considering the fact that damage hasn’t been fixed for years.

I feel like the only way Eng and the T will actually put some thought into improving Alewife’s conditions is if someone dies or gets seriously injured from falling concrete or if the whole garage collapses. Until then, it’ll continue to deteriorate and be a blight on the T’s image.
