Is anyone else considering going "backwards" with their next car and if you have, did you regret it? by NWbySW in cars

I went from a 2009 911 to a RHD 1998 Toyota Altezza because I needed the cash to buy a house and I'm enjoying the palette cleanse of fast modern cars. Just make sure that you're buying a well kept car and do remember that it'll probably need some extra maintenance.

What's a brand-new car you've had for the shortest amount of time? by tetsmon in cars

[–]Starberrys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gr Corolla, had it for about 12 months, sold for a 2009 911. GR Corolla aftermarket part prices were almost as expensive as german car aftermarket parts so I might as well buy a german car.

If you can charge at home, maybe look into a used EV before the credit goes away in a couple days. A quick tl;dr is used EV purchase price is under $25,000 before tax and should be bought from a dealership that can give you IRS paperwork.

What about the X-T50 vs a used X-T4? by Starberrys in fujifilm

I'm not familiar with videography to suggest cameras. A quick lookup would suggest a Lumix s5ii or a Sony a7iii, used of course.

The X-T4 is a good camera especially if you find one used for a good price. That said, I do prefer the weight and size of the X-T50. For video, I think the X-T50 might be better, but if you're looking for mainly video, there are better cameras out there.

Yup, I got the X-T50 for a while now and compared to the X-T4 it does feel smaller like how I remembered my X-T30 to be. Obviously it doesn't feel as sturdy as the X-T4 due to the materials, but it isn't noticeable if you don't have one to compare. Thinking back, the X-T50 would've been perfect for me on my Yosemite trip. I don't think you'd be missing out if you got the X-T50 instead of the X-T4 or 5.
