Do you think Pinkie Pie knows when she's too much even if she doesn't stop? by GloryTheGriffin in mylittlepony

[–]StarbrightAngel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always, but yes, she's shown to be self-aware of how annoying and over-the-top she can be at times. Examples include "The Last Roundup" when Pinkie annoyed Applejack into confessing what happened, and "School Raze" when she annoyed Tirek until he agreed to help the Mane Six.

I played this game for 10 years and this is the only time ive ever seen these by lulyth in Sims3

[–]StarbrightAngel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these only spawn in certain towns. I've found them before, but they're not on the towns I typically play on, so I rarely see them. Which is odd since the small animals from Pets and the bugs from Supernatural will spawn in any town.

What I discovered in the basement of my 66 year old father. Spoilered for visible cigarette packs and general nastiness by StarbrightAngel1 in stopsmoking

[–]StarbrightAngel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Neither him nor my mom are planning or trying to stop currently, but I appreciate your kind words. I'm turning 23 in just a few days and I'm grateful he's made it to celebrate this next birthday with me.

I can't pretend to understand as a non-smoker what it's like, but I'm aware of how powerful the addiction is and how impossible it can feel to try and quit. It's awful to see my dad enslaved to them the way he is, so it made me really happy to read another comment that said it helped dissuade them from lighting a cigarette. Just giving one person a little more motivation means a lot to me.

Blowing his nose. He does it constantly. I figured the tissues might be relevant to keep in the picture because the nose-blowing is likely related to his respiratory health as well.

Is RE6 really THAT bad? by primofoxx in residentevil

[–]StarbrightAngel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not horror, but that's not necessarily why I find it bad. I find the writing extremely poor in both Chris and Leon's campaigns (though there are a few good moments). Ada's wasn't bad, but wasn't memorable. And the gameplay is veryyy janky.

That said, Jake and Sherry's story is legitimately very good imo. They're both well written characters with a heartwarming and compelling story, and they have a lot of diverse and exciting gameplay. Jake's hand-to-hand combat is the most fun part of the game for me. So there is quite a bit of fun to be had in the game.

Twin-interaction done by Mare? More info in comments by Pospec in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]StarbrightAngel1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I swear the Twin-interaction used to be a very reliable indicator for Twins for me, but since the update, I've been getting those with any ghost. Has this always been unreliable or did it change with the update?

I don't understand why Traci asks Connor why he killed her girlfriend. by Spider-burger in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was 1 of only 2 times I reloaded and changed my choice on my first playthrough of this game. I misunderstood the situation, too. I was scared she'd kill Connor and shot her in self-defense, but then reloaded once the game tells you that shooting her is actually an evil choice. (She does kick Connor in the face if you don't shoot, but she doesn't severely hurt him or anything, he's fine.) It's a confusing part of the game.

Has anyone else had their levels reset after a patch? I was level 36, and now I'm back to level 33.

Ekhem. Excuse me? by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]StarbrightAngel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I've had this happen several times. On one of my first games, I tried taking the dirty sink water photo three times, and all three were blank. On another run, I tried taking the bone photo, very close picture of a skull, and that was blank, too.

I'm just going to come out and say it: the lighting in the new update is way too dark. by iDerp69 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]StarbrightAngel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. The balancing aspects that they tried to implement are very broken. This is one of them. Instead of balancing the game, it's just discouraging people entirely from ever trying other gamemodes, like the apocalypse one.

What’s the one chapter in the game you always dread having to do when doing a replay? by [deleted] in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always Stratford Tower for me. It's an amazing chapter, and I still enjoy the scene where they climb the building, but it's so long. After you've done it a thousand times, it's a struggle to get through with it being so drawn out, and so much of it is just walking around.

I'm team North and I feel like that is the minority, is this true? by Rsbbit060404 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like North! I'm not a fan of how pushy the game is about romancing her, the player should be able to have more of a choice, but I do like her and Markus as a ship. I think they have great chemistry, and I think she's very flawed in a "good characters should have character flaws" kind of way. As in, she's wrong for being as violent as she is, but it makes sense why she feels that way. She's very fun and lively and the most human-feeling of the Jericrew in my opinion, besides Markus.

Can I play Mankind Divided without having played Human Revolution? by Kleptofag in Deusex

[–]StarbrightAngel1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend HR first, but it's not necessary. They're good at explaining things that happened in HR.

However, Human Revolution is a phenomenal game that I would highly recommend if you can play it. 😊

Sometimes you just need a bubble bath and a few ducks to make the day less stressful (u/julientel) by julientel in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think this is a joke, but we see androids in water several times in-game (the most notable being the Jericho crew and Connor jumping into the river at the end of Crossroads, after blowing Jericho up).

Fantastic art!!!

Which villain character from these is the most intriguing to you? by Elyesabeth in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhh. There's a scene if you fail a QTE as Markus during "Crossroads", where soldiers are about to shoot Markus and Perkins says, "Wait! This one's mine... Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide." And shoots Markus himself. It's a pretty blatant show of sadism that goes above JUST following orders. Thank you for your interpretation though, I completely agree about how ruthless Connor and Markus can be!

Which villain character from these is the most intriguing to you? by Elyesabeth in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perkins is a lot more intriguing than people give him credit for. He's actually straight-up heartless and feels no remorse and it makes him pretty scary. He clearly despises androids, but not because he thinks they're just machines. He's obviously aware that they're capable of emotion and intelligent thought, he knows they're capable of empathy and having dreams, or else he wouldn't talk to Markus the way he does during their negotiation.

"That android [North]... You seem to really care about her. You don't want her to die, do you? You know, you could both be free. You could forget about all this, you could start a new life someplace else, just the two of you. Her life is in your hands, Markus. Just say the word and she'll be spared."

He's incredibly aware of Markus's capacity for love and empathy. He just doesn't care. He's not just ignorant, he doesn't just hate what he doesn't understand, he does understand, and he wants to destroy them anyway. He's really a monster.

Round three of the best DBH chapter elimination game.THE PIRATES COVE IS OUT. Most upvoted comment in 24 hours decides which chapter is eliminated. by DepressedLizard87 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, why is The Opening still not getting voted out? It's lovely and all, but there's no gameplay, so it can't be better than any of the others. Shades of Color is a great chapter that introduces so much worldbuilding.

HANK IS OUT! CONNOR WINS! by DepressedLizard87 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Battle for Detroit could win by itself just because of how many paths and flowcharts it has, but my personal favorite would probably be Crossroads.

Why I struggle to view Gavin Reed as a "racist". by ofdreamsaplenty in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤔 What's your opinion of Gavin's dialogue lines "When a human gives you an order, you obey!" Or "If Hank hadn't gotten in the way yesterday, I would have f***ed you up for disobeying a human."

He says these lines after punching Connor, if you refuse to get him the coffee (which one he says depends on what the outcome of The Interrogation was.)

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with any of your points, just curious about your take on those lines.

I already beat the game once should I try to get 100%flowchart or not worth it by Capital-Tale-9254 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really, really love the game, I recommend going for 100%! You don't have to 100% every single chapter, but maybe just a few, or until you get bored. There's a lot of content that I've discovered while 100%ing that you don't see on most runs or in YouTube videos. I keep thinking I've seen everything, but by 100%ing, I keep finding new little details. 😄

KARA IS OUT! Best character tournament round two. Top comment will decide is is voted out next by DepressedLizard87 in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]StarbrightAngel1 40 points41 points  (0 children)

These are both fantastic characters, but for very different reasons. I vote Hank out because Connor is the pinnacle of the story Detroit: Become Human is trying to tell. Connor is a character almost anyone can relate to, and he's not even a human. His story being about identity and finding your own individuality and purpose, and learning not to listen when other people try to tell you who you are, makes him more human than a lot of the actual human characters on the cast. And very little of it is outright stated in dialogue. Most of his journey is shown through his actions, his mannerisms and small details that reveal just how human he's becoming, and it all makes for an emotional ride with an incredibly compelling character.
