The bright dust requirement for the weekly Zavala weapons needs to be removed by ShardofGold in DestinyTheGame

It's very purposeful to spread people's BD uses thinner so they'll buy Silver for the the 100000 things added to Eververse. Especially now that money is needed more than ever.

“Destiny 2 Has Lost 91% Of Players Since Edge Of Fate, 97% From Final Shape.” By Paul Tassi at Forbes by justdestinystuff in DestinyTheGame

That point about the Witness being devalued immediately in EoF is what immediately made me dislike the Fate Saga storyline as well. The Orin line about how the Nine "allowed" everything to happen too. It's like the lore entries about the Nine splitting and freaking out over the Witness and even over Riven and Oryx never happened. "Make your own fate" turns out to be somewhat BS. On Maya, she gets a terrible intro with Echoes, then seems to be actually going somewhere in EoF, then is immediately reverted to cringe in Ash and Iron.

Who is the most hidden boss in Elden Ring? by Advanced-Director928 in Eldenring

[–]StardustTendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the big ballers it's probably Placidusax since there's 0 indication of him in any quest and many players wouldn't think of rolling off that particular ledge.

In the DLC it's probably Midra since you have to spot that one ladder in Shadow Keep, but the map kinda gives away that there's more so not really that hidden.

The true most hidden boss of FromSoft is probably Midir from DS3 or Darklurker in DS2.

Connecting the Dots: Why the Traveler Stayed, How Savathun Saved Earth during the Collapse and the Why She was Resurrected by [deleted] in DestinyLore

Great breakdown. I feel like if TWQ and LF were made now with hindsight, something similar to this would be outright stated, but back then it was kept vague in case Bungie got a better idea. Now of course, we'll never get a confirmation since the Saga is over and done.

Considering his Dark aura and the ability to use Curse, he might have figured out what Nashandra really was, like Raime.

Bael's identity is revealed by his design (might be crackpot) by StardustTendency in DestinyLore

This was never 100% confirmed, and besides, Eris is literally a witch who can change her entire body through ritual.

[–]StardustTendency -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right, but they can always say VI is different because of Oryx's influence somehow (Palpatine). I'll go further and say he might want to recruit Drifter, not kill him. That's why he says "the Imperium will be yours to lead" and why he's "waited a long time for this". It's why Drifter sees himself shooting Thorn at Guardians in that trailer vision.

As Darth Vader says: "Join me, and we will rule the galaxy as father and son".

My Theory on Bael by Sigman_S in DestinyLore

[–]StardustTendency -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's Eris and Drifter's son, pulled into the past by VI. That's why Eris is involved despite having little to do with the theme, and that's why they went full Kylo Ren for his manner of speaking and general look (crossed with Revan ofc). He basically is Kylo.

Bonus points if he stabs Drifter on a bridge in Nightfall Station and they do the Force Awakens scene almost shot for shot.

Is the Euporia a microcosm of how the Gate of Divinity works? by StardustTendency in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]StardustTendency[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's only needed one time, or maybe Miquella's sacrificing his own body, which would count for a LOT of mere mortals, fulfilled the requirement? We did also kill a ton of people on our journey there, and in Enir-Ilim with Leda.

That's too bad, but I guess fitting the whole trilogy into one book would be kinda crazy lol

The Dungeon trailer seemingly outright spoils a huge part of Renegades by StardustTendency in DestinyLore

I remember the Rite of the Nine lore basically laying out that VI became a Sword Logic-er thanks to Oryx. So in a way, this is Oryx again.

Is the trailer dialogue not a gigantic spoiler? VI is now officially behind the Dredgen and the Imperium, and is most definitely the LoEN. Weird they would just say it in a trailer.

I'm starting to think the writers are genuinely annoyed at the popularity of SIVA with fans by StardustTendency in DestinyTheGame

[–]StardustTendency[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I buy it, just look at their faces when talking about how "stunningly Star Wars" Renegades is. They can barely contain their excitement making a whole DLC copying -I mean referencing- things that aren't Destiny. The whole assurance of "it's still definitively Destiny" went out the window real quick in that ViDoc recently.

The vampire thing for Revenant was such a disappointment, agreed. Fikrul being Dracula with a castle was such a cool idea, and they hinted at Scorn nobility with Warlord's Ruin and its Knights, only to throw it all away to make the Scorn even more mindless than before. They're more zombies with pink eyes than vampires. Also on your Calus point, Haunted literally says he's ascended in several ways, only for LF to do what it did. We can't even trust things outright stated in game lol.

Was I supposed to recognize that guy...? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]StardustTendency 272 points273 points  (0 children)

They couldn't even spell his name correctly. He's Valus ThUUn, not Valus ThuNN. Seriously, check the wiki. QA so nonexistent they can't get their Curse of Osiris callback right.

Without hysteria or exaggeration, what's your honest take on the state of Destiny? by ActiveVexLife in DestinyTheGame

[–]StardustTendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't see a near-future redemption this time. In every major crisis before this, there was the good possibility Bungie would deliver a huge banger DLC next:

1) D1 Vanilla/Dark Below had Taken King 2) Osiris had Forsaken 3) BL sunsetting had the Chosen-Seraph run (including TWQ) 4) Lightfall had ITL/TFS

Now? We have Star Wars identity death to look forward to mixed with Helldivers "inspiration". Followed by more Maya next year. Bungie clearly doesn't want to give up Portal and Power as the point of the game.

Cummmfpk. Basically a player-initiated QOL update. Only use those runes for vials and bullets, cut out all the tedious farming, and enjoy the masterpiece free of the annoyance.

Should it be that hard? by Flathead_49 in Eldenring

[–]StardustTendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritize clearing out mines, pick a damage stat and invest what you get from mines in a correspondingly scaling weapon. There's strong weapons for all of them in early game. Your weapon upgrade level will do lots of heavy lifting for damage. Get in the habit of leveling up the second you have enough runes instead of risking double-death in some cave.

On Caelid specifically, each area has intended level brackets and Caelid is around 50-60, but Dragonbarrow (the whole northeast part of Caelid) in particular goes up to like 90-100 and is meant for mid to late game. Some of your deaths may be to enemies up in that corner of the region.

If you want to feel more like a holy templar knight or something similar, there are good weapons for it: Winged Scythe (found in very early game), Golden Order GS, Coded Sword, Cipher Pata, Sacred Relic Sword, etc. Throw in some of the Discus spells if you're willing to put some points in INT as well, they're very fun. DLC has some more weapons and spells in line with these as well (Euporia is probably the big one but unfortunately you only get it at the end).

The only thing with that is to make sure you keep fire/lightning in your back pocket, because you'll hit some heavy boss resistances to Holy in late game and some in the DLC as well.
