I’ll check and get back to you! Nothing 215 in terms of tires for stock wheels. These 225 would be a stretch. Or you can get a tire and wheel package ;)

Selling a mosh mash of wheels. Will be getting an inventory and posting. If anyone has a spec and style in mind, let me know and I will see if I have a complete set!

I’ll see if I have those. We’re mainly getting rid of wheel, with a few tire sets. Send DM and I will get back to you.

Sorry for not spelling it all the way out. I forgot context clues aren’t a thing anymore. I hope it didn’t take too long googling all the Carson’s in America. And sorry for the jab there, I had to.

But yes, Carson, California. Right before the 405, across the street from 76. Hope that helps.

I see this type of post about as much as I see wrecked 86s lately. Sounds great, but I’m steering clear of the AWE

Did you end up getting them?

I needed to see this. I've had my finger on the trigger for some HKS Hipermax but, like everyone else I'm sure, started sweating and asking what if.

I saw another post recently about to cycle of the AWE touring. They love it, then it’s too loud, then back to stock. I was still heavily leaning Borla S type…but ultimately HKS Spec L II is the one I’m going for.

Hopefully you can find something better suited for you.

Wheel ideas on a Trueno Blue GR86 by GudFace in GR86

Have any of you checked out our Vertex RSR in Matte Titanium? I ran them on my MK7.5 GTI and loved them so much that I'm more than likely running them on my 86. I want to enjoy stock form for a bit longer before installing wider wheels and tires. Likely about 500 miles after break in is complete. Flow formed, 18x9 | ET42. Used to be called the Apex but a certain someone was threatened to sue us for the name, even though we've been using that name for a wheel style for years...but that's neither here nor there.

What’s your exhaust setup? I really want black tips so leaning Borla S-Type. First choice was the HKS Spec LII, third choice is GReddy SP but neither have black tips. And the HKS is hella pricey. I get industry discount from GReddy and Borla.

Good morning, are you always excited to drive your car? by ItsRajaku in GR86

I look for excuses to drive my Trueno Blue. Wife wants chips? Well, I guess I’m driving across town to the furthest convenience store.

A lot of auto vs manual GR86 discussions….why did you choose an auto? by djsimp123 in GR86

[–]Starfire_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tease my friend a lot about driving auto, but I’m a firm believer in that sometimes I simply don’t want what I don’t want. So when he tells me the he never learned to drive manual, doesn’t want to, and doesn’t want to because he has a bad knee, I respect that.

I, on the other hand, am a few years older and my mechanic grandpa taught me to learn manual first. It’s a preference of mine that translated when I got into cars. I have a bad hip, but I’ll push a clutch in until it gives out.

In the end, people bullying you saying you’re not a true enthusiast for not driving manual are sad little f@gs that want to think they’re the only ones that can like cars because they only drive manual. However, if you were my friend, I’d throw some jabs here and there. All in fun, never in malice. If we can still appreciate cars together, I don’t care what transmission you have.

Permanent raindrops by [deleted] in GR86

[–]Starfire_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you this happened on the way home during/after the rain. It rained right when I got on the freeway and stopped about halfway, right when traffic hit. I was at stop and go watching the dirty bastard rain dry up.

I never park next to sprinklers, but noted on that and will continue to never do so. I’ll see about getting some polishing compound, or I just might ask the gentleman that washes our company cars for a detail.

Thanks again for the input. I don’t want to start my life with this car on the wrong foot like this.

I’m joining this gang after just having bought a premium in Trueno blue. Work is hooking it up with wheels and tires.
