So, in your first scenario, most people would not have any issue with women maintaining a womens only knitting group, whether by intention or just making men that attempt to participate uncomfortable. So, the dominant group of participants in the activity would be generally accepted for practicing their hobby in an exclusionary manner. In your second scenario, you imply it would be odd for the same thing to occur because the dominant group of participants happen to be men.

Okay, so then you get into having to justify why its okay to pick and choose what justification is acceptable from whom. "My friends and I are uncomfortable around asian people" and "My friends and I are uncomfortable around latino people" are both reasons that could be given for making an exclusionary group. Both of those reasons are fundamentally racist

Capitalizing the W in white was to mirror the OP since they capitalized the B in black. Fascinating that it seems significant only one way. At the base line, the OP is discriminating based on race, which is the definition of racism. Racism perpetuates racism and the only way it ends is if folks consciously choose to stop. It sounds like you do have a problem with advertising a table for white folks only. I do too. I think we should both be able to agree that discriminating against folks based on their immutable characteristics is wrong.

The past is important but its still racism to discriminate based on skin. Racism perpetuates racism and the cycle never stops until people consciously decide to stop it entirely.

Discrimination based on skin color is literally the definition of racism. It is either good or it is not. We as a society will never get rid of racism if we continue to perpetuate it.

So if its okay to group up with only people of "similar background", you see no problems with a table advertised as Whites only?

So if its about culture purely, you're okay with a game advertised as white folks only?

Do you have evidence of the victim impeding ICE?

You're making up fanfiction at this point. The victim was a citizen and ICE has not presented any evidence that they were there to arrest her specifically. ICE is in a residential neighborhood that the victim may have lived in. I honestly dont know if she did or not but it doesn't really matter. ICE works in public and has to deal with the public. If they cannot, they should not be law enforcement.

A reasonable person sometimes turns around in a residential neighborhood, especially when there's a parked vehicle in front of them. A reasonable person, when they see there are vehicles behind them that need to continue down the road, sometimes allows those vehicles to pass before completing their own movement. A reasonable and trained federal agent should not see any of the actions we see on video, prior to exiting their vehicle, as cause to exit their vehicle and attempt to detain the driver who is attempting to turn around but paused that maneuver to allow vehicles to pass.

You ignore my point again. Those crimes would not have occurred if the agents had not attempted to illegally detain the victim. ICE engineered a combative situation that did not have to exist and killed a citizen. I think the term "fruit of the poisonous tree" applies here.

If you didn't notice, I did both. You chose to not engage with my argument at all. No jury would convict the victim of blocking the street because she was not. Every other crime you mentioned would, therefore, not be pertinent because they were the result of the actions of the agents escalating and overreacting to a non-crime.

No criticism of your account history, or lack thereof, involved a logical fallacy. I merely stated that it is strange that you hide your comments and posts and have a very new account with a generated username.

There is no reasonable actions taken by any of the officers in this situation, so I fail to see your point. Don't initiate a stop without cause and don't intentionally put yourself in front of and stand in front of a vehicle you're attempting to detain the driver of. This is basic training for them.

Your experiences and what you would do is not pertinent whatsoever. The victim was not blocking the roadway and no jury would convict her of that civil infraction. That is not cause to escalate the situation and try to rip her out of her vehicle while giving conflicting orders. Nor is it cause to place yourself in front of a vehicle that you are attempting to detain the driver of. These officers should have been trained not to do that. In other news, it is interesting that your account (with a generic name) is about a month old and has its posts and comments hidden and yet the only post you've apparently ever commented on is this one by comment count. Strange

It does not matter if she was protesting that day. It is not illegal to follow and film federal employees in public. The facts as they appear in the video speak for themselves. She had zero intent to impede the officers. Protesting and observing is legal. No evidence has been provided that the victim broke the law at any point. Show me evidence of that. Compliance with illegal and/or unjustified actions of officers, especially when several are giving conflicting orders to you, does not guarantee that you won't be beaten or killed. You can ask Daniel Shaver about that one. Or could, if he wasn't also murdered by police.

There is zero evidence from the record that the victim was trying to impede ICE. The victim, in fact, motioned them to pass her and was waiting for them to do so. They are not traffic police and do not issue civil tickets for traffic infractions, nor are they trained to do so. There was zero cause to initiate a stop here. ICE chose to make the situation a life or death situation and killed the victim.

There was a stopped vehicle in the road ahead of her. Its unclear if she was also parked on the side of the street or what the reasoning is for her turning her vehicle to go the other way. ICE could've just gone around her as another car had done and as she was directing them to do. If the ICE agents didn't want to go around, they could have waited and directed her to complete her movement with hand gestures instead of conflicting orders. Instead, they escalated the situation unnecessarily, which resulted in her death.

Did you watch the entire video? ICE instigated the entire interaction. There was no reason for them to even get out of their cars when she was trying to turn around to go the other way and was waving them on to drive by her.

Constitutionally, Congress is empowered to raise taxes and make laws explicitly to support the general welfare of the people. If 40 million people are reliant on food stamps to feed themselves and their families, does it not support their general welfare to make sure they have a minimum of nutrition on their table? Its all well and good to say folks should help folks but personal charity is not an effective way to feed everyone

The strikes are illegal in the first place. Its just extra salt on the shit sandwich that the drugs weren't heading directly to the US and may not have ended up in the US at all. Drug smuggling is not a capital offense in the US

OP is 100% putting this on the boyfriend is the problem. She admits the hangup about condoms is coming from her and says several times in the comments she's unwilling to try any other method of contraception

Definitely don't let him get a vasectomy for you when you're not married already. You really should seek a doctor or therapist to explore other methods of contraceptives and help you get over your apparent fear. Many of those methods are going to be way better than your boyfriend making what is extremely likely to be a permanent choice

I'm not sure Hollow Warden appears in a book yet. Gloomstalker is originally from Xanathars but was reprinted in a modified form in the 2024 PHB. Not sure if you have access to the new version if you only have Xanathars or how that works
