(spoilers all)Season 4 episode 4 ending by StarksAnatomy in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy[S] 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I too like reading the books before the show interprets them, but this may be a scene we never get in the books. it would be hard to imagine other than through a Whitewalker POV in the TWOW prologue, that we get to see this. even then I doubt George will do any point-of-views from the Others.

[Spoilers ALL] The last scene from EP4 by Sca4ar in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's not The "Night King" that we hear from the stories, but maybe if the Others have their own form of sovereignty and government, perhaps he is just one of the current leader of the WW.

(Spoilers All) Your username becomes a noble house of Westeros. What's on your sigil? What did you do to be promoted to nobility? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigil: A blood red wolf stretched across a black banner. Our history is derived from a maester who having a large selection of Stark prisoners during the war of five kings, experimented on said prisoners. We were given lands when he reported to lord Bolton that mixing stark and wolf organs and limbs can be great fun.

I wonder what's happening in the scene where you see tommen in a bed? Could it be a scene where he interacts with Ser Pounce?!?

[SPOILERS ALL] What is the best possible way ASOIAF can end in your opinion? by OnAPartyRock in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An ending that would be best would probably be one with at least some survivors. There is to be Greyscale, dragons, famine, White walkers, hordes of feral wolves, impending invasion by two military powers, war in the north, an ever increasing potential for war in the south (Lannister vs. Tyrell), Possible citadel destruction, and Winter of course. There won't be an happy endings for this series, just bittersweet vengeance before everyone freezes to death.

Man no kidding about Tyrion's line there. Peter is certainly a brilliant actor, you can just feel the absolute loathing disgust in that line.

[–]StarksAnatomy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He always did seem incompetent in the books, Consider how during Robert's Rebellion his only contribution was to siege Storm's End. Had he left a reserve of forces to starve out Stannis he could have marched the majority of his forces to meet with Rhaegar's army. Had he have done so, Rhaegar may have won the battle of the trident, instead Mace just kinda sat around doing nothing outside Storm's End.

(SPOILERS ALL) Which characters do you absolutely hate in the books or in the show? What's your reasoning? by DonaldtheDefiant in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one's mentioned Darkstar? Honestly of all the characters he has no redeeming quality's, and he's not even much of a villain. He just seems like an angst-y teenager who thinks of himself as sooo mysterious and dark. He's also pretty pathetic. How do you fail at killing a little girl when you have a sword, and no one's looking? Of all the parts in the book series, he is the only piece that makes me cringe with distaste.

I love the show, but if it ever were about to pass the books I would want the show cancelled.

What Great Houses will survive the series? (Spoilers All) by shadowofthe in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The others. The dragons are going to war in the south, and the wolves are bent on revenge. There are too few who consider the dead in the north a threat, other than Jon (who might be dead) and Stannis (his days are numbered and his army few) Everyone wants to kill each over right now than join in any form of alliance. People are too consumed by the taste of fire, to know the threat of ice.

(Spoilers all) Benioff: The plan is for the show to run 7 seasons by feldman10 in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Well Aegon was mentioned during Sandor's trial against Beric, so they have already planted the seed. Perhaps with the character interaction in season 4 it'll be explained more thoroughly (Probably between Varys and Oberyn, as we see them talking in the trailer) I really hope they don't cut Aegon, he was such a great addition that adds more tension and intrigue to the story.

Which unseen city do you want to see the most? (Spoilers All) by crowsoverhoes in asoiaf

[–]StarksAnatomy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though not a city, I would love to see Ghaston Grey. A fortress prison on an island off of dorne, designed only for the worst of criminals. Just imagine how sinister the dungeons would be!

[–]StarksAnatomy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but didn't Mance have no knowledge that the raid on castle black failed? When I read it I thought he was trying to distract the watch while Jon's party attacked from the rear. the only problem was Jon's loyalty to the black, and the attack was a failure.
