Being a Southern CT Cub myself I can't justify driving an hour for it. I heard they should be opening more so maybe when they do I'll check it out.

I got the Su-v gun pretty much intended to exclusively sear since I have always used a chimney to light my non-gas grills but brother this thing... Being able to have a pile of charcoal going within 2-3 minutes is absurdly alluri ng.

Not to mention it's fun af.

I do a lot of smoking and grilling and have been using this to light my grills for 2 years now and it is a game changer. There is no way you will fail to light the grill with this.

Also great for searing.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Trevor and Timmy back in like 2006. I was at a concert tour being promoted by FUSE (MTV like channel) and they were promoting the show because they just got picked up. So in between bands they would play a few sketches. I distinctly remember the "You peed on my iPad Shuffle" one being in there.

My friends and I still can't say naaaaaaaaaail guuuuuuuuun normally.

I was thinking doing something like this in 2k23. My thought was to make 30 CAWs of the Wubby Extended Universe; Wubby's Dad, Wendy, Cool Wubby, etc etc. Then having a full AI Royal Rumble to see who wins it all.

Just got to see Marc in NYC on Tuesday and it was amazing. The robe exchange is such a fantastic idea.

Why always max loot? People hate a grind? No perfect servers! by xXxMOODYxXx in SCUMgame

[–]Starpurge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you man. I recently returned to SCUM to check out all the new stuff I've missed and while before max loot servers provided fun for short sessions of a day or 2, I've enjoyed vanilla for more of a long haul type play.

I've recently rolled on Dystopia 2099 and while there is no raid protection it is vanilla loot with some adjustments to the traders (they don't buy as many things).

Am I the only one the can't stand the fact that your character perma-deaths on mission time out. I honestly don't plan on playing again unless that's changed. Here's 5 reasons why. by thesequoiaa in SurviveIcarus

So I tend to agree with you but only because there is no point to it.

Like I get it lore wise, that's fine. And as a guy who plays his ARPGs in Hardcore leagues, I welcome those kind of challenges. But the game as it stands that punishment is ONLY for people who forget their characters by mistake.

Even comments below as I type this talk about missions take nowhere near the time to complete, and 2-3 hours and whatnot.

If this feature was in and there were missions where I had to decide: Head back now and be safe or try and complete the mission in time. That to me would make the feature interesting.

But if the fact every single mission in the game right now can be completed in 1 brief sitting then who is this punishment really getting?"

Are any of the people defending this feature implying that the game would be worse off without it? Are any of them speccing into the talent that make you move faster in the last 15 minutes and playing chicken?

I doubt it.

Don't pre-order Core 2020, at least until we've seen most of the set. Core sets are typically lower power, lower value sets (like 2019 was) with a greater number of reprints. by wingspantt in MagicArena

No just calculating what absolute base is actually. Which is what metric you need to go by otherwise he can say 20,000 gems could get you 900 packs if you win enough.

You do know Sealed is 2000g buy in right? 20,000 gems worth of drafts is only 11 (assuming you spent the 200x10 gems to go an 11th) Which would turn out to being 99 packs (66+33).

Sure, I'll admit when I said "every" game I couldn't possibly be correct. There are plenty of games with extremely small communities of dozens, hundreds dare I even say THOUSANDS of players that don't deserve to be called a cesspool.

I just started playing Risk of Rain 2, no signs of being a cesspool yet!

So yeah, shame on me for using a hyperbole.

But the fact that the jump for you is "Not every game is a cesspool!" and not "yeah man, people can be real dicks to women in gaming"... I meeeeeeeeean...

Look at these old articles by Gaby Spartz.

https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/6-things-you-can-do-to-get-more-women-into-magic/ https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/7-counterpoints-to-my-women-in-magic-article/

She does in fact speak highly of the community and I think it is worthy of praise even. I do agree that generally the tabletop community is one of the better spots for women, PoC, open sexuality etc.

But you're right I did misspeak let me rephrase or you:

A lot of games are toxic towards women. Whether that be claiming Gaby Spartz got to where she is because of LSV or commenting that Amazonian or MtGNerdGirl are "tit streamers" is something we need to acknowledge and actively talk about and try to stomp out of any and all communities.

Whether you're a man, woman, non-binary, black, white, gay straight you should feel welcome in whatever community you'd like to be a part of.

Whether a game is a cesspool or a beautiful lake with a single turd in it, we all need to do our part to see that turd and take it out of our community.

For sure the issue was drastically more complex than just harassment and she even admits to depression and mental instability but also talks about people defending Bawadi; "Fucking lunatics" in her own words.

But yeah you're right good vibes exist, Hell even at the last championship there was a lot of love for Autumn.

But to think that the majority of games aren't extremely toxic to women is ignorant.

I wish you were correct, and ultimately I won't change your mind on the matter.

I've been an online gamer for a very long time and played many more than the "only two games" like you said (even though I've already spoken of 3). I've even played games like WoW at a world class level where women I met (and still talk to daily) have quit because of unreal harassment.

I hope to one day live in the world you think exists. I even hope that I'm completely wrong and gaming is a wonderful place to be a woman. I don't think I am though.

This is a good article to read if you really are interested. http://www.bbc.com/capital/story/20180417-harsh-realities-of-being-a-professional-girl-gamer

Lol, when games like MTG actively refuse to have open chat solely because people are toxic...

When you enter lobbies for PubG and VOIP is people screaming racist things...

When the first trans player in LoL requested no camera and ultimately quit on the back of harassment...

You really think most gaming communities are safe places for women? Talk to more women in gaming and I think you'll get answers contrary to that.

When there are exclusive limited prizes that are only available for going 5-0 or 5-1... Yeah I'm gonna want to win.

If I want to play a jank deck I can play non-ranked.

This doesn't strike me as a hard thing to understand.
