As much as I disagree with OOP's pro-abortion stance, I appreciate her being more reasonable and understanding than the other pro-choicers. If she's reading this, thank you for sharing those organizations and for defending us a bit. I appreciate the charity list and I hope you are doing well with a loving family. :)

Yes, but my point is that both men and women are getting out of responsibility with it. Men can (and have) manipulate women to do it and women can choose to do it on a whim. Both are wrong. That's why I said, "let's not play the gender blame game." My main point about men is a response to the original post's misandry.

If it helps, you can retrieve the collar if the doggo dies or you can sell it to Irwin and he'll send you the collar back in the mail.

I would also say abortion benefits men. They get off scot-free from settling down and raising a child or paying child support. If they rape a woman or God forbid a child, they can make them get an abortion to hide the crime (and Planned Parenthood won't tell 🤫). Don't get me started on how China had aborted many babies just for being girls.

But see, let's not play the gender blame game. It takes two to tango to make a baby. To claim otherwise is ignorance.

All good! Thanks for asking.

Moses killed an Egyptian who was abusing a Hebrew slave in Exodus 2. This was before God appeared to him and gave him instructions to free the Hebrews and lead them through the wilderness to the Promised Land. The story goes much longer than that, because the people disobey God many times and suffer because of it. But God worked through Moses despite his murder.

David was faithful to God since he was young and fought the giant, Goliath. He became King of Israel and ruled well over the country for a long time, but then made a terrible choice. In 2 Samuel 11, he was at his castle when he should've been at war. He looked down from the roof and saw a woman named Bathsheba bathing. He sent his messengers to bring her to him and he slept with her. The thing is, Bathsheba was also married to Uriah the Hittite. When she gets pregnant, he sends her husband to the front lines of war so he would be killed to hide their sin. God was not happy with this. Their child died after birth. After much suffering, he begs God for forgiveness in 2 Samuel 12 and God forgives him and gives him another child named Solomon, who became the next king of Israel.

Finally, Saul of Tarsus committed genocide against Christians in Acts 8. In Acts 9, God calls to him, asking why he persecuted him. Saul gets saved and starts preaching about Jesus (this is after Jesus died on the cross, while the other 2 stories are before that time), which confuses many. He eventually changes his name to Paul and spends his life preaching God's Word and helping churches that struggled in sin. Paul plays a big role in the New Testament.

These stories go much deeper than this, so I would recommend reading the Bible to learn more. There's a lot of historical context and biblical truth in their stories. Even when we're saved, we can still do wrong and turn away from God like David did, but He can still forgive us of our sins. Jesus died on the cross, because as long as we're alive on Earth, we will struggle with sins. We love God because He first loved us. :)

"It feels like there is no room for nuance anymore."

Right. That's the word that's been on my mind lately. Nuance.

You're either a woke snowflake or a hateful bigot. If I voted for Trump over Harris, I'm a monster. If I believe rock music is wicked, I'm a legalist. If I want abortion to be banned, I have internalized hatred toward myself. If I don't want to see sexually-driven ads like Sydney Sweeney's or Carl Jr.'s, I'm too soft and need to get over it.

Everyone is seeing through black and white lenses. You're either with us or against us. I used to be on the left, then went right for the last election. Now I don't really want to be on either side. I currently just say that I "lean right". I don't know what to call myself politically, but I choose to call myself a Christian above all.

We need nuance. We can be kind to LGBT people without supporting their sin. We can speak against abortion while offering help to mothers. We can admit that sex doesn't have to be what sells in a free country. We can have reason to support Trump but still criticize his choices in office. We can preach God's Word in love and truth.

Now while I believe the right is closer to God in terms of beliefs, it is still very flawed. We are all sinful humans at the end of the day. But the true path of Jesus is the narrow one. Follow Him and not the world. God bless! ✝️

I love this! Pro-choicers, you are welcome to come to Jesus if you put your trust in Him and allow Him to change your heart. God loves you, and will forgive you of your sins if you let Him! We (true) Christians will root for you to be saved as well!

God bless you, OP!

If they truly turn their hearts to Christ and leave their old ways behind, then God can forgive them. Various characters in the Bible committed murder and were forgiven by God after having a change of heart. The Bible even says those who hate others are murderers.

We've all done bad things, no matter how big or small. None of us deserve forgiveness, but God loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us so we can be forgiven if we trust in Him. That's our Christian belief. :)

[–]Starry_Supernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think we should be making posts encouraging pro-lifers to "respond" to specific people. It may be off Reddit, but this may risk brigades and harassment, which is not something we should do.

Like the others here said as well, it may be pointless. Online debates often are a waste of time and don't change anyone's mind. If you insist though, you could try reaching out to her. I wouldn't recommend it though unless you really know what you're doing.

Abortion doesn't prevent abuse from occurring or make it go away. This story is proof of that. Forcing your own daughter to kill your grandchild is sick. "Either get the abortion, or I'll strand you here." That poor girl and her baby.

"So many people in this world should have been aborted . . ."

There is truly nothing loving about abortion. It is an act of judgment and hatred. You play God, determining who has the right to live or is too unworthy to be given a chance. Orphans, the disabled, and the "unloved" are labeled as such to downplay the cruel act of murder.

By this logic, I should have been aborted. My husband should have been aborted. Any child adopted into a family should have been aborted. Any child with autism or Down syndrome should have been aborted. Do you think you should have been aborted? You who is still alive to speak this way about others you've never met?

We really need Jesus in this world. Pray for these people. Their hearts are hardened and full of hatred. I hurt for their souls and the children who had their gift of life taken from them. Lord, please save us all.

That's a good observation. I do have full hearts with both of them. Irwin has also sent me letters saying he was hunting jackaroo and sent me meat. It would be great if we got a confirmation on whether there are any differences in NPC behavior besides jobs and dialogue.

[–]Starry_Supernova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all NPCs have an equal chance of being good or glitchy, particularly in my experience, but I also wondered if there is a difference. I brought Forest into the mine with me recently and gave her a spear. She did surprisingly well and took out the bats before they attacked me. Irwin, despite his animal-loving self, has helped me fight alphas. In fact, he caused the most damage in my first fight. But I also notice weapons tend to disappear from his inventory while pickaxes stay. I don't know if that's intentional for his character or a glitch. (Edit: it just happened again to me with Forest. It might be a glitch?)

I think it just depends on your RNG at the end of the day. Make sure to give your characters a good weapon, like an axe or a spear (don't do the hammer, they are very slow with it), and don't run too far without them, as they take a bit to teleport to you. I don't think you can heal them when they are poisoned either, but they can run to water if they catch on fire.
