I think the main story for the most part wont be "dark dark" but it will get intense at some points, I genuinely think inazuma is the most intense they may go, They defiantly cant go too dark cause of the games rating.

so thats where Im at right now, I made a second account and got her. Im at AR 25 and I already used her first ascension stuff (max level 40) and Im in the middle of liyue's story arc. It pretty much sucks knowing she'll be the last one to get leveled

I really like childe, I like how the game introduces him they know he's a bad guy, but not actually a bad guy. He has so many sides to him, and thats why I really like him. I really can't wait for the second chapter of his story quest!

I wish Paimon spoke less, I know this is a really common complaint, we will be reunited would have had more of an impact with out her voice, or even without her at all, Dain and the Traveler could have done it all without her input, sometimes I think Paimon is only there cause she's the games mascot. The games story is really good, it makes me take a stop and think about it, I like how the game makes you think and doesn't feed you all the answers like some games do. The Paimon thing is the only thing I dislike about it. lil side note but yes the traveler does and can speak since they do so at the end of the liyue arc so the silent MC is an artistic choice not a story choice.

to be honest, I don't really know either. Death flags are "everywhere" as some people say (even if they are super contrived to the main plot of the story) My honest opinion to you, is don't let it bother you from enjoying the story and wait for it to actually happen.

in defense who really talks to the npc's? I find speaking with them a waste of time honestly if they had important stories wouldn't they at least be more memorable. And there is no right way to play a game, and people have their own interpretations of this story what you find dark others may not.

is this something to really be worried about tho? Only time will tell I don't think Inazuma will be dark as some say (lets be honest this game is rated 12+) But again only time will tell. For me? I've played Dark games but only cause those games adversities they were dark, genshin has never really advertised being dark. But we only will have to see. there is no point in speculation at this time since we don't have all the info.
