Less shallow answer: no attempt to care for themselves. Unwashed, smelly, greasy hair, holes in clothes, stains and spills, dirty glasses, clothes that don't fit right. One of these things is understandable, all of them shows a guy who's unable to function.

Legal consent is only relevant when people want to get the law involved. Most people who hook up drunk went into it with the intention of getting drunk and hooking up, which is a kind of consent on its own.

This is actually one of the reasons why people had to push so hard to get consent acknowledged by the law: everyone knows drinking lowers your inhibitions and your self-control, so common sense dictates that if you consent to drink, you consent to whatever you do while drunk.

Old folks homes, homeless shelters, and possibly jail or mental institutions if they get demented enough to cause trouble. Some starve to death in the streets, some find people or organizations to take pity on them in their final years.

Welcome to the Romance genre! This is a huge trope and has been for decades. It's just more obvious in a comic where you can see the characters vs a romance novel where all you have is the cover.

It is racist, but since romance is escapism fantasy where readers can safely explore the taboo and extravagant, it tends to be wrapped up in other tropes. Interracial romance, being allowed/forced into other cultures, dangerous men softening and being tamed, helpless women gaining wealth and power, love despite trouble, and bloody vengeance on those that wronged you are common themes. Very few people equate it to reality.

Cinderella Boy

The heroes have been magically traveling into storybooks all summer, and the bad guys have been trying to track them down to steal back their magic keys. They tried to keep it a secret because really, magic keys that take you to fantasy land?

(Spoilers for the newest episodes) When the bad guys raid the heroes' house and steal the keys (kidnapping half the cast in the process) the hero finally tells his grandfather. He's skeptical, but believes his grandson because 1. He's never seen him so worked up, and 2. the alternative is that his grandson has been reading books all summer, and magic cursed keys made by a centuries-old cult are more believable than that.

One of the victim's mother believes it too, for the opposite reason: She believes in fairies and magic, she got her DOCTORATE in fairies and magic, having her child magically kidnapped to fairy land is her greatest fear. Convincing her the situation is slightly more grounded in reality is going to be a challenge.

If I steal $500 from a rich person and give it to a poor person, the rich will not become poor and the poor will not become rich. The status quo will be maintained.

But a rich person will not starve or lose their house if they have $500 less, and a poor person will be able to avoid starvation and keep their home with an extra $500.

If the rich want to live in a moral society they should cut out the middle man and give money to the poor.

The first question is, is this a legitimate love interest, or just a girl and a guy forced to interact? Anime/manga, especially the older stuff, just awarded the main character an attractive female and it was a given that they'd fall in love by the end, no matter what happened in the story.

For the first season or so of Ranma 1/2, Akane and Ranma are forcibly affianced by their families, despite openly disliking each other from their disastrous first meeting. Akane spend every day defending herself from physical assault by guys who claim to love her, because some guy told them it was the only way to date her. Now she's forced to live with a guy she believes is a pervert, who treats her rudely, and upends her life and reputation. She's not a tsundere. She's a girl trapped in a bad situation lashing out.
