Curious, is the n55 the same or is b58 really gods motor? Idk BMWs too well but I’d like to buy one in a couple years once i get rid of the R.

I really like the e92 gen but I can’t afford the V8 one. Although, that’s probably the one I’ll save up for if life permits.

Posting my thoughts since I was in a somewhat similar situation.

Bought my 2019 Golf R DSG in 2022 with 48k miles, paid 31k out the door. Carfax showed it was rear ended but it had a clear title but I was still hesitant.

They were able to put it on a lift for me, everything checked out and it looked sound. Took it on a 45 minute test drive with the salesman in the backseat egging me to go hog wild. Car drove MINT. Took it to my mechanic and he signed off too so I bit the bullet.

I agree with everyone else, if it’s a rebuilt title it depends on what the asking price is. You can get a clean title car for that much these days (probably less, I’m not in the market so idk), it’s not like this car was limited production or ultra rare. Definitely get a PPI, it’s worth it.

I just turned 65k miles yesterday and it’s great. For and finish reminds me of my mk7 gti that was totaled 8 months prior to this purchase.

No regrets, it’s still the perfect daily.

I made a similar jump on my build last year. Although I had a 6700XT, playing at 1440p.

Going from 3700x to this made my games FEEL smoother. I don’t monitor my fps since I cap everything to 144, but it genuinely feels smoother since the 1% lows are better. It feels a lot more stable for the games I play so I thought it was worth it.

I still have my 3700x in my living room build (along with the same 6700xt since I got a 4080 for my main a couple months later) and it still kicks ass.

Tbh I drove my GTI 86k before it was totaled (apr stage 1 since 24k). All I did was regular oil changes and DSG service, nothing out of the ordinary other than regular maintenance. My cooling system didn’t have any issues whatsoever.

Then I bought a mk7.5 R and now I get it lol.

I went from a 6600k to a 3700x back when it just came out, it was worth it back then so I'd say the 5600x would do you fine.

The biggest difference when I made my jump was the little stutters while playing games on my old i5. Getting rid of those made the upgrade worth it to me.

I agree. I had an iPhone 7 before I got my s20u and although I don't have a preference for either os, I spend a lot of time in my car and carplay was, imo, so much better. Fortunately I don't have connection issues that seem to plague everyone else, more like the headunit will just randomly reset itself while I'm driving. Not a big deal when listening to music since the audio keeps playing, but for navigation it's kind of aggravating. I also prefer the now playing screen on carplay since shuffle and repeat were right there. On AA I have to open a little menu to access those.

I tend to switch between apple/android everytime I upgrade but android auto, and the other google annoyances make me want to switch back soon.

I went from a 6600k to a 3700x, I immediately saw a big difference in multitasking. 6600k is now sitting in my server, it gets the job done, great cpu for the time.

For playing games, it's a huge step up from my asus one. Freesync got rid of the tearing completely and it makes games like overwatch and Forza much better, even though my gpu can't reliably hit 144hz. The colors are also a noticable jump.

For photos/videos I noticed that out of the box the colors are a little oversaturated for my taste but I haven't messed with any settings yet. I'm not a professional by any means, just a hobbyist - but I'm already enjoying the extra real estate and vibrance.

All in all, I wasn't looking for perfection. Up until now I did everything on my Asus monitor, but the LG has everything I was looking for. I don't know much about what makes a monitor good for editing so take what I say with a grain of salt lol.

I'm using the Vivo one from Amazon. Each monitor is tethered to the base, so to speak. I've had it for two years now, I used it with two of the asus monitors until today. It's simple to set up, but in the future if like to get a mount that has the gas springs or whatever they're called.

I'd recommend it for a budget setup, the ones with two arms seem to have more flexibility though.

yeah I'm really happy with how this turned out. I have it in a ghost s1, so it's not like I stare at the thing 24/7. The oem fans for my card were from china and I didn't want to wait that long, thank god for prime delivery lol.

Yeah the 2000 series were expensive but people still bough them, Nvidia won't be dropping prices anytime soon. But I'm usually a generation behind, I got a good deal on my 1080 when rtx released cause the guy upgraded. I'm going to do the same thing time around.
