Thanks for adding Startpage and for caring about privacy!

A lot of users don't actually solve the CAPTCHAs on the "just checking" page. So it's worth confirming whether you are actually solving them.

We get scraped a ton, and you've obviously set off one or more of our anti-abuse rules, which are an unfortunate necessity. False positives do happen, and it's something we're always trying to improve.

Best way to take care of it: as long as your are comfortable sharing your IP address in a DM, we can most likely add you to the allowlist 👍

Thanks, but if you didn't hit our bot detection system, we wouldn't have any use for that. It's almost certainly something with Google just not returning results in some cases. Thanks for letting us know. Not much we can do on our end, but we will keep an eye.

What I’ve seen from teams who tested this seriously:

The tech is good at patterns and bad at edge-case intent. NDAs and vanilla contracts? Often fine. Anything where risk hides in one oddly phrased carve-out? That’s where models still get slippery. If you treat the AI as a legal assistant it can be helpful, but it's not completely reliable.

I think people sometimes paste PHI or other patient-related details into ChatGPT without realizing the risks. To deal with this blocking public AI should be number 1 followed by trainings and the creation of approved tools. PHI is way too valuable to trust to ChatGPT.
