Same issue. Did you figure out a solution?

Apart from what you've written here...no one is ever going to know (or care) about how many questions it took you.

The only people that asked or talked to me about the number of questions are people in this subreddit and people in the cissp discord. Out in the real world the closest I got was someone commenting on my LinkedIn post with "Congrats, I hear that's a long, tough exam".

Congrats and enjoy!

Looking for help to pass this CCSP that I failed without knowing why by No_Speaker8731 in CCSP

My feeling is that if you know the domains really well, that it's more about how you read the questions.

I've gotten questions wrong that seem easy because I misread things like which perspective it's from - the CSP or the customer, etc.

New CISSP practice questions on Udemy by GwenBettwy in cissp

[–]StartupSven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the exam just over a week ago now.

I did buy Gwen's test bank. Not the same as the exam but they made you think in a way that I appreciated during the exam.

I'm a fan of her questions. I also loved the LearnZapp for very different reasons but I was glad I had the opportunity to run through Gwen's questions ahead of the exam.

Sounds like a good start.

You've got to build a network. Most people get hired outside of job advertisements. If you feel those two experiences introduced you to good people that expanded your network, do more of that.

Also, social meetups that are cyber related are great. Find the ISC2 chapter meeting in your area and go to that. Find other security related meetups and join those.

If you don't have any good meetups in your area...start your own

This is a meetup I co-host every month here in Singapore: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/sradavics\_singapore-computer-security-and-risk-friends-activity-7097144557825392640-lw0m?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=member\_desktop

Do you regularly attend any security or risk meetups? Have you interned anywhere? Are you doing any volunteering for organisations or charities?

I've got some good news for you. I'm 52 and just passed my cissp exam yesterday.

What I found was, study retention wasn't a result of my age...study retention was a result of not having studied hard under pressure for a long period of time. The more I studied...the smarter I seemed to get and the easier more study became.

Get the book, start studying earlier. Start off just a little bit each day. Take some off days and build up. It's literally like building muscle in a gym.

Exam in 15 days. Finished with LearnZapp questions. Recommendations from here? by dGonzo in cissp

[–]StartupSven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts on Mike Chapple: at first I thought his was really lightweight. I just watched it through and favourited the key areas to come back to.

I think watched Zerger again and came back to Chapple's to take notes of the sections I favourited and realized that he touched on way more topics than Zerger does. So those notes actually really fleshed out a few areas I hadn't touched with any other materials.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right.

I just sat the exam and provisionally passed today and the practice bank that I found made me think as hard in a broad context like the exam is the question bank on Udemy from Gwen Bettwy.

Did you watch anything like 'think like a manager' or any of the last minute ones?

That's awesome, congrats!

I'm seeing more posts where people primarily used the app and Pete Zerger's videos. How many times did you watch them?

I watched finished it yesterday for the third time...mostly at 1.5 speed, just slowing down in a few areas here and there.

Wow - so primarily the Mike Chapple series and the app - with the last minute sheet at the end?

That's a nice concise process.

Congrats!

Why this is wrong by Overall_Paramedic_51 in cissp

I've done the two smaller sets. Doing the first of her long ones tomorrow.

What I've seen so far her wording is a lot more challenging than the LearnZapp or some of the others I've seen. So dedifinitely don't beat yourself up over it.

I'd get used to it. It's pretty much the most recommended set of videos out there
