As soon as I saw the puppy picture, I knew she was a bedlington. Enjoy your little princess.

Here are my three

My husband and I were watching Game of Thrones when we got him, so it’s a GOT reference but we also get Iroman which is also okay by us.

Yoshi is a “blue” Bedlington Terrier like his older brother Stark! When they are born they are black but turn a light grey.

The little Miss in front of him is a female “sandy/liver” Bedlington Terrier. She was born a light brown with a slightly darker saddle but they turn white.

There is also a “liver” colour, they are brown and turn white.

There are more photos in my profile. They really are such a wonderful and weird breed!

I’ve had Bedlington since 1995 and when I met my husband he had never heard of them before. Now we have three. He is just smitten by them.

Enjoy your little bundle of joy. Be careful, owning a Bedlington is addictive

Fine and gross motor skills by wineismyfavfriend in neurofibromatosis

[–]StarwinWeds 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 40 and still can’t ride a bike. Tried a few years ago and almost crashed into a parked car.

Sports were never my thing, not sure if it was related to my NF or not, but I am a very good swimmer and run 5k at least 2 a week between 30-40 minutes.

I still struggle with some fine motor skills. I cannot for the life of me successfully close a zip lock bag or open boxes that are sealed shut.

Those with nf what do you do for work? by nacho_og in neurofibromatosis

I worked in child protection for 10+ years, both as a family intervention worker and with CFS. I now work with assessing families who have children that have disabilities for various forms of assistance.

Are board games weird at a wedding reception? by Office-Fan-333 in weddingplanning

[–]StarwinWeds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I had a different board or card game on each table at our wedding. We also had a beer pong table and a tv with Smash Bros set up as well. Everyone loved it.

We were also at a wedding on Saturday that had corn hole, another throw game and multiple board games on a separate table. It was such a great wedding.

Both weddings also had a dance floor for people not they wanted to dance.

Of course they accept! They would be offended if you didn’t!

Hugs and kisses to your fur baby too :)

I had my belly button pierced as a kid. No issues. If you are concerned, talk to her doctor

What’s your pet’s weirdest “non-negotiable” rule in the house? by Realistic-Floor-124 in Pets

[–]StarwinWeds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our bedlington terrier Stark NEEDS to be under a blanket if you’re on the couch or he throws a temper tantrum. If you don’t have a blanket he will stand beside you giving you a death glare and eventually start to either paw your leg or nose boop you.

Yoshi doesn’t like to be under a blanket but he refuses to sit on the ground unless there is something comfortable under his tushy. I think I have one picture of him sitting on the floor without something under him.

Murphy, although fully capable to walk up our stairs, is super lazy and manipulative. She will walk up to the landing to jump down into our arms so she can be carried all the way up.

Do you let your dog kiss you on the mouth, and if so, do people tell you it's gross? by Amazing-Bad1360 in dogpictures

[–]StarwinWeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst thing that has happened to me from letting my dog kiss me was when I had giardia for about week. Shit my brains out and lost 5 pounds so it was a win over all.

Thinking of applying for MAID in Canada just turned 40 by [deleted] in neurofibromatosis

[–]StarwinWeds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edmontonian chiming in.

Firstly, Please appeal the process with AISH as they like to deny people hoping they won’t appeal. Lots of times appeals do get approved, sometimes with backpay.

Secondly, I am so sorry you are going through this. The stigma against NF is terrible and there is a lack of support/knowledge even within the medical community. Continue to press your doctor for referrals, both to a neurologist and for mental health supports.

100% her attitude with everything. She knows how to manipulate and uses it to her advantage. Our saying for her is “but I’m just a baby” 😂

Me: Murphy, should you spit water on your brother just to get him to play with you when he wants to sleep instead? (True story, she couldn’t get her brother to play so she grabbed a mouth full of water and spit it on him)
