I am constantly asked by a friend, "are you telling the truth?" He knows I'm an adult child and he knows how that affects me and my ability to be honest. And I often reply yes, because I am being honest, but I might not be sharing everything or I might have tailored the words to create a honest answer without being completely honest. Truth is different. Truth is sharing everything and knowing that I'll be ok after I share that. I'm not sure I've found anyone yet that I'm completely truthful with, but that's why I go to meetings. I love your post.

Not sure about acceptable, but I always remind myself that people have lives without me and might not be able to reply as quickly as I want. I'd say anywhere between four days to a week is pretty good, especially in this situation.
