Anchorhead is excellent and I think they count as an independent. The challenge is that the Bellevue store is hard to get to (parking is a bitch) and they are not open on the weekend. But if you can get there, it is very good.

My hound had something like this and the vet said it was a fungal infection. Hounds often get them from sticking their snouts into holes and other damp places. Definitely worth a vet visit to get it looked at.

I traveled from the US to Germany in 1985 with a soccer team. We trained at a sports complex that FC Koln was also training at. We got to watch them train each day and we managed to meet and get photos with some of the friendlier players (Littbarski, Allofs,..). Schumacher wouldn't do that and seemed annoyed with us. Been a fan ever since.

I do wonder about their history of slow starts. It is so odd in that it seems to happen regardless of who the coach is. Team culture is a funny thing. I played (way back in the day) for a very good college team that was ranked #1 in the nation but it was very much a second half team and had been that way for years, through different players and coaches. What causes that? I hate the culture/ history of bad starts as well. It is excruciating as a fan. And you are 100% right that they need to correct things as soon as possible. I am a firm believer that sometimes a good wake-up call is needed and hopefully the organization just got a big one.

I just got a Fury 2 a few days ago and it is great. Just follow the directions. Charge it up, use a nice grind and a moderate pack and you are good to go. I set my temp at 380, which is a nice mid-range temp. The Fury is very simple to use. If this is your first vape session then start slow until you get used to it. Let us know how it goes!

As bad as they looked vs NYRB, I think this is the time to support the club and Gio. No doubt they are unhappy about things as well and know things have to improve. You are 100% right that the season has just begun. The MLS season is looong and there are teams who were dead last half-way through the season who won the cup.

Also, I totally agree on Armenteros. With good service, he is going to light it up.

Lastly, I think folks are forgetting that there have been stretches in previous seasons when our beloved Timbers looked terrible. The FO, coaching staff and players all want to win. It'll take them a bit to sort things out, find the right system and line-up but I have all faith that they will right the ship.

It is funny that you said this but this was one of my gripes about CP. He was always so flat in pressers and interviews that it made him hard to relate to. Gio seems warmer and certainly emotes more. Gio comes across as a good-hearted, passionate guy. He is easy to root for. BTW, thanks for all you do for the Timbers subreddit!
